Fun Trivia: S : SmackDown!

Special Sub-Topic: WWE "Smackdown!" August 7, 2003

In the opening match Eddie Guerrero took on Chris Benoit in a non title match What was the result?

It was a No Contest. Rhyno came to the ring and attacked Benoit. Tajiri came to the ring and attacked Guerrero. Sargeant Slaughter threw the match out and made it a Tag Team Match with Benoit and Tajiri taking on Eddie Guerrero and Rhyno.

Chris Benoit and Tajiri got the victory over Rhyno and Eddie Guerrero. What was the final result of the match
Chris Benoit made Eddie Guerrero submit. Guerrero tapped out to the "Crippler Crossface."

Who were Vince McMahon and Sable confronted by?
The Undertaker & Undertaker & Taker. The Undertaker took Vince to task for letting A-Train do what he did to Stephanie at "Vengeance."

Who ran into Vince's office and told him to come quick?
Funaki. Funaki took Vince backstage and Brock Lesnar was out cold. Kurt Angle was there too, and he and Vince just stared at each other before Kurt walked away. Now come on, everyone knows that Angle is better at being a heel...start taking wagers now, that Angle did assault Lesnar. If it is proven that Angle did it, I feel very sorry for Angle, because Lesnar will eliminate him.

Josh Matthews asked Kurt Angle if he was the one who attacked Brock Lesnar. What was his response?
He didn't do it. Kurt swore that he didn't do it. He said that he wanted to talk to Brock when he felt better.

Who did Zach Gowen have a match against?
Nunzio. Zach was distracted by Matt Hardy. Nunzio won when he delivered a kick from the second rope. After the match Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore pounded Zach.

Who did the Undertaker have a match against?
John Cena. Late in the match, the referee was knocked out. The Undertaker gave Cena a "Chokeslam" and covered him, but the referee was still down. A-Train came to the ring and gave the Undertaker the Bicycle Kick. Cena gave him the "F-U." Okay, now does anyone really believe that Taker is going to let Cena get away with this? I mean serious...the only reason the storyline went down the way it did, is because Taker is going to have a hip replacement and will need at least 8 months to recover. The powers that be at the WWE could not let Taker leave to have his surgery, with him being defeated by Cena in a no cheating match...so, what we saw is what we got...it all leads up to Taker coming back and destroying Cena.

Jamie Noble took on Doug Basham. Who won?
Noble. Noble got the win and after the match both Basham's attacked him. Billy Gunn came to the ring and cleaned house.

Rey Mysterio took on Charlie Haas. Who won?
Charlie Haas. Haas won the match with the "Haas of Pain."

Who won the Steel Cage Match between Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar?
No Contest. Brock Lesnar tried to give Vince the "F-5," but went down and was out cold. Vince pinned him but Kurt refused to make the count. Kurt and Vince argued back and forth. All of a sudden Brock sprang to his feet and gave Angle an "F-5." Vince grabbed the WWE Heavyweight Title and told Brock "This is yours." Brock continued pounding Kurt before he left the ring with Vince. This is just the beginning of the feud that is bound to happen between Angle and Lesnar...and may the best guy win...it could be Brock, or it could be Kurt. Only time will tell who will emerge victorious.
