The Via Appia was the "queen of the roman roads", extending from Rome to Brundisium (Italian : Brindisi), a port city on the east coast of Italy.
2. In what declension does "agricola, agricolae" fall?

Answer: 1st declension, masculine

"Agricola" is one of few 1st declension masculine nouns. Others are "poeta" and "nauta".
3. What declension is "mater, matris"?

Answer: 3rd declension, feminine

The 3rd declension has various nominative forms, but the genitive is almost always -is.
4. Where would you find the word "tempus, temporis"?

Answer: 3rd declension, neuter

"Tempus fugit" means "time flies". "Tempus" should be "fugit-ing" if you are doing well on this quiz!

Answer: 1st, feminine

"Silva" means "forest". Thus, something "silvan" (or "sylvan")is something of the forest. Note also:"Transylvania" - which means (literally) "Beyond the forest".
10. How could you find "pater, patris"?

Answer: 3rd, masculine

"Pater" is "father", which is masculine. From "pater" we get the word "paternal", which means "fatherly" or "fatherlike".
