My first World Cities Quiz was about distance and the second about population. This one is about location by geographical coordinates. It is meant to be an exercise in spatial and geographical visualization and should be played without aids.

Los Angeles is eighth in population of the top ten (17 million).

Jakarta is the other southern city (16 million).

Delhi is seventh on the population list (19 million).

Answer: Tokyo

Tokyo is number one on the 2005 population chart, with a whopping 34 million people.

Answer: Mexico City

Also the highest city on the list, Mexico City boasts over 22 million inhabitants.

Answer: New York

Okay, Chicago was a ringer, since it is not in the top ten. New York is the farthest north of the big ones, has over 21 million people in the area, and, as Old Blue Eyes told us, "If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere."
10. The last major city is on the 37th parallel and 127 degrees east of Greenwich (127 degrees east longitude and 37 degrees north latitude).

Answer: Seoul

Seoul lies just south of the famous Korean DMZ at the 38th parallel and is third in population (22 million).
