Fun Trivia : Quizzes : 'Smallville' - Season 5* : We're All "Reckoning" This is a Great Episode

Introduction:
""Smallville" -- Alright, you may not agree that the 12th episode of season 5 ("Reckoning") was the best episode ever, but it was definitely suspenseful and pivotal- not to mention emotional. I dare you to see if you watched this episode properly!"

1. The episode starts off with Clark up in what his father called (back in season one) Clark's Fortress of Solitude. Lana meets up with Clark for a "mystery date" in that loft of the barn. Although Lana doesn't think a "mystery date" is what their relationship needs right now, it turns out to be perfect. What does Clark's "mystery date" entail?
Clark lifting Lana in a car up over is head, then "super-speeding" while carrying it, and using heat-vision to burn the words "Will you marry me?" into the air
Clark taking Lana to the North Pole, then using his powers to carve the words "Will you marry me?" into a rock
Chloe telling Lana everything about Clark, then Clark proposing
Clark taking Lana to the "real" Fortress of Solitude, showing Lana his powers, and proposing with a ring he created

2. Mr. and Mrs. Kent are both very surprised to hear that Clark told Lana everything, and then proposed. Martha tells Clark she's proud of him. What does Jonathan say?
I guess it's just hard looking over at your son and realizing you're talking to a man- who doesn't need his father's advice anymore.
How could you do such a thing without telling us?! I'll never forgive you. You should have asked for my help.
You're finally becoming the man I've always hoped you would become- and you don't need my help anymore.
I am truly amazed by your bravery, and I hope Lana says yes. My only advice- make sure you tell Lana about the meteor shower, even if she says "no".

3. Lois turns on the water and is filling a kettle when she steps on a rocky stool to try and get "junk food". Lois almost falls (and actually does the second time around), but Lana catches Lois. Why (according to Lois) was the junk food up so high in the first place?
Lois had a really tall boyfriend that would always keep his favorite food way up high
Clark had put the food up there so that Lois wouldn't be able to reach it, but Clark hadn't counted on her ability to get around it
Clark just thought that if she was going to eat the junk food, she might as well be forced to exercise a little on the way to it
Lois tries to put the junk food out of reach, but sometimes it's more "reachable" than other times

4. Lex is very upset that he's lost the election for Senator. When Lana asks him, "Since when have you cared about what other people think?" Lex responds with, "Since I've been branded at birth with the sins of my father." Lex tells Lana she's lucky to not have had to put up with a father- which hurts her feelings. Lana turns away and tells Lex that they shouldn't discuss this when he's so drunk, but when Lex says that he'd never want to hurt Lana, she turns back. How does Lex find out she's engaged to Clark?
Lex was looking up in the sky and saw Lana's answer trailing behind a plane, "Yes, Clark, I will marry you."
Lex kisses Lana, and Lana pulls back in shock. Lex says, "Aren't you planning on breaking up with Clark?", but Lana says, "No. As a matter of fact, we got engaged today."
Lana goes over to Lex and tells him that she's really sorry he lost the election, but today was a very happy day for her- Clark proposed, and she said yes.
Lana puts her hand on Lex's shoulder, and Lex reaches over and touches her hand, then notices a ring on it, and says, "Looks like it's a bigger day than I thought."

5. Lana lies to protect Clark's secret, telling Lex that "Clark isn't hiding anything." Lex knows better, grabs Lana, and begins to shake her! She frees herself and runs away, and then gets in her car. She calls Clark, and tells him that Lex knows that she knows his secret- although she's not sure how he knows. She also mentions that he's really drunk. What happens next?
Next thing Lana knows, Lex is speeding up behind her, and as Clark asks if she's ok, Lana gets hit by Lex's car...
Lana realizes that Lex is following her, and she tells Clark she's scared. Clark asks where she is, Lex begs Lana to talk, and Lana is hit by a bus...
Clark speeds over to Lana and grabs her out of her car, but Lex sees, and Lex tries to shoot Clark. Clark gets out of the way, but the bullet hits Lana...
Clark realizes that Lex is following Lana, and Clark tries to stop Lex's car, but accidentally stops Lana's car instead, smashes in the front of it, and kills Lana...

6. Crying, devastated, and unable to accept his new fiancée and love of his life (Lana) as truly dead, Clark appeals to Jor-El, whose only reply is that human life is insignificant. Clark won't let Lana go, crying, "There has to be a way to fix this!", but is informed that while his powers seem extraordinary, Kyrptonians can't alter destiny. But Clark knows that Lana dying wasn't her fate, and this truth makes Jor-El reveal a way to help. What does Jor-El say?
If Clark would prefer for his father to die instead of Lana, there is a crystal that he could use. Jor-El does advise Clark to use it.
Human love is the most powerful force in the universe- Clark has already realized that. If Clark truly loves her, time might be turned back...
There is nothing Kryptonians can do to reverse the past, but if Clark uses his human love, Clark may be able to save Lana...
There is one more trial for Clark to go through, but there is only one crystal, so Clark must choose carefully. Clark has been warned...

7. Clark has a chance to save Lana's life, finding himself back in time, right before he took Lana on an unforgettable date. When Clark sees Lana alive again he is ecstatic. However, Clark didn't have an alternative mystery date planned. Clark tries to improvise some new plans. Lana, however, thought she might actually experience a "day she would never forget". After expressing this to Clark, Lana wishes to break up and says "I think I need a break".
    True
    False

8. Lex finds out that Lana and Clark have broken up. He tells Lana that it is possible that Clark will never be able to trust her. Lana reveals that she had thought that if she was patient enough, Clark would eventually open up to her. How ironic. Lana desperately asks Lex, "Why would you lie to the person you love?" Lex responds with "I wouldn't." What does Lex then do?
    Tells Lana he loves her
    Kisses Lana
    Asks Lana out for dinner
Starts jumping for joy, laughs, and tells Lana that this day isn't so bad after all

9. Lionel knows something about Jonathan's family- something Lionel claims both he and Jonathan would "protect with their lives". Lionel shows Jonathan a piece of paper, but Jonathan crumples it up. He exclaims that he won't let Lionel destroy his family! Jonathan attacks Lionel, but he apparently is having trouble breathing when he says his last words to Lionel. He starts holding his chest, and walks out of the barn, just as Martha and Clark are pulling into their driveway and up to him. When they see him, what happens?
Jonathan asks that Martha and Clark call 911. The paramedics don't arrive in time. Jonathan has died...
Jonathan collapses, and they pick him up and bring him over to a bench, but Jonathan looks from Martha to Clark, smiling, and then dies...
Clark realizes that his father is dying and speeds away to the cave, but Jor-El's help doesn't come. Jonathan has actually died...
Martha panics, but when Jonathan's heart stops beating and Clark tries CPR it doesn't work. Regardless of Clark's efforts, Jonathan actually dies...

10. Martha struggles to put on a piece of jewelry just as Clark walks in and tells her he's sorry. Martha insists that Jonathan's death isn't his fault, even when he protests that if hadn't saved Lana, Jonathan wouldn't be dead. Martha reasons that the choice between his father's life and Lana's would have been impossible to make. When Clark puts the piece of jewelry on Martha, he symbolically replaces his father's role in his mother's life, and Martha cries. What type of jewelry was it that Clark put on his mother?
    Answer: (One Word, 8 letters)
