Fun Trivia : Quizzes : Rebuses : Sounds Like Word Math

Introduction:
"Word addition with a homonymic twist! Instructions and an example are provided as part of the first question. Can you add up the clues to get the answers? "

1. In these equations, the first clue given is for a word which sounds like the first letter of the answer.
The second clue is for a word which sounds like the remaining part of the answer, but has a different spelling than the answer's.
Combine your two results (using the "sum" provided as a third clue) to determine the answer.

Example: Golfer's gadget + rocky fragments = difficulty or danger (7 letters)

How to solve: Golfer's gadget (a "tee" - this tells you the answer starts with the letter "T") + rocky fragments ("rubble" - this tells you the rest of the word sounds like "rubble," but should be spelled differently) = difficulty or danger. Combine the "T" with "rubble" and get "trubble." Correct the spelling and you have the answer meaning difficulty or danger... "trouble."
