My Favorite Science Fiction Shows game quiz
"These aren't your typical "Star Trek" and "X-Files" sci-fi shows. Some of these shows were popular during the 90s and geared toward young adults. See how well you do..."

15 Points Per Correct Answer - No time limit

1. One day a teenage girl gets doused with some chemical that gives her supernatural powers. Not only can she turn into liquid when she wants to slide her way out of tough situations, but she can zap things with an electrical charge, and move things with her mind, all the while being in high school, and trying to hide her true identity from the public to avoid being exposed! Name the show.
    "Clarrisa Explains It All"
"The Mysterious World of Pepper Green"
    "As Told By Jody"
"The Secret World of Alex Mack"

2. There's another strange young adult out there who's living amongst the people of "Smallville". His name is Clark Kent, and he's destined to become Superman. But all the while young Clark has stalled in taking on his mission by engaging in human behaviors rather than embracing his extraterrestrial identity. During one episode, Clark is instructed by Jor-El to complete training in his Fortress of Solitude before sundown, but Clark fails at this. What is Jor-El's punishment for his son's defiance?
Clark is frozen in the Fortress for 30 days, while a Clark look-a-like (a phantom mind you) runs around Smallville pretending to be him.
Clark's powers are taken from him, which Clark initially finds to be a positive thing.
Clark's Earth father suddenly dies, as exchange for Clark's life and disobedience.
Clark is forced to break up with Lana or she will die. As a result, she falls in love with Lex Luthor, and marries him.

3. Speaking of "Smallville", the character Jimmy Olsen looks awful familiar. Perhaps you thought it was him who had a guest role on "Smallville" during the earlier seasons, and maybe you even thought it was him who had a starring role in the "X-Men" trilogy, but it wasn't him- it's his brother, and he has also starred in a science-fiction television show of his own. What was it called?
    "Maniacs"
    "Animorphs"
    "Dinolords"
    "Mighty Morphing Power Ranger"

4. "Roswell" is especially unique. It's the show about a group of aliens who appear as teens and live amongst ordinary people in Roswell, New Mexico. Yet the teen aliens have no clue why or how they got there until toward the end of season 1/beginning of season 2. One thing they find out about themselves is how they are able to look like humans, and still be aliens. What did they find out?
They are hybrid aliens, half alien, half human, purposely engineered this way.
When they were birthed from their pods in the dessert, they were engineered to only appear to each other and humans as human beings, but other aliens would automatically see them for their true alien self, just as they for other aliens.
They are actually a type of alien known as Skins, in which they shed their skins every year during harvest, and new skins are engineered in a cryogenic chamber for them to put on.
They were selected at birth by three royal aliens on the planet Kavar, which on their 18th birthdays, they would begin to be transformed into their alien selves. That is why Tess showed up.

5. Perhaps "Roswell" would still be on if the alien's identities were never revealed, but the group was forced to flee because the government had finally caught on to them. What piece of incriminating evidence is discovered in the Evan's home during the night of Tess' return, which sparks the whole fleeing situation?
The alien baby that Tess and Max created.
A video of Isabel using her powers to move objects rapidly above her in her room.
Photos of Liz breaking dishes with the powers she obtained from Max.
Michael's blood which when tested by the military scientists reveals un-human like qualities.

6. "Heroes" is the latest show to join the supernatural T.V. world. I love all the creative powers the characters have on the show; in fact so many characters have so many powers it's hard to remember what everyone can do. What power does Mohinder Suresh have during seasons 1 and 2?
He revealed no powers during those seasons. He was just a scientist.
He had the power to do anything but because his power was so life altering, he injected himself with the Shanti Virus so he may never use his abilities.
He had the ability to take other people's power, but he had to kill them first.
He is the creator of the Shanti Virus, which his abilities lie in its creation.

7. Hiro Nackamura can time travel, and has conquered the "space-time continuum" on "Heroes", but on this, younger crowd, show the main character and his family are from the future, and in the future, people have the ability to travel through time recreationally. His family goes on vacation in the 21st century only to get stuck there, with all their futuristic devices and knowledge, but of course they must blend in. What show is this?
    "Land of the Lost"
    "According to Allen Strange"
    "21st Century Ago..."
    "Phil of the Future"

8. I got into "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" toward the end of the airing of the show, and I never get to catch it. But I did notice that one of my favorite "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" characters is now a character on another one of my favorite shows. What is the name of the character he plays?
    Jack Bauer
    Howard Rawls
    Milton Fine
    Nathan Petrelli

9. The best show that ever aired on The Disney Channel was "So Weird". It was a show about a teenage girl, Fiona, who encountered paranormal occurrences, and then documented them. How did she document them?
On her internet website she called, "So Weird".
On her video diary show she called, "So Weird".
In her locked journal she called, "So Weird".
In an ongoing letter she was writing to her deceased father.

10. On the show, "Are You Afraid of the Dark", a group of kids sat around telling each other horror stories. What was the usual setting for them to try and freak one another out?
In their high school boy's locker room.
In one of the kid's basement, which they made look like the woods.
    In front of a fireplace.
    Around a campfire.
