D'Argo, John and Zhaan go down to a building to meet with an Orican, a Luxan holy woman. Aeryn stays on Moya, putting up with Chiana and Rygel.

2. Why did D'Argo take on the markings of a general?

Answer: To protect his real general

D'Argo takes the markings, or tattoos, of a general when the real general is wounded, in order to protect him from the enemy. At first D'argo is rejected as a fraud by the Orican because she sees he is not really a general.

Answer: Nilaam

The dying Orican is Nilaam. Niem was the red-headed silent assistant to Scorpius on the gammack base in season one's episodes "Nerve" and "The Hidden Memory." Neera was the priestess who wanted John dead in "Jeremiah Crichton." Actress Melissa Jaffer, who plays Nilaam in this episode, later returns at the end of season three to play Noranti.

The power turns out to belong to Moya, not D'Argo, and this Renewal turns the Orican young again, while taking Moya's energy and causing her to deteriorate, causing many problems for the crew.

Rygel says hull breaches are unheard of in Leviathans just as the hull breaches and he is sucked into the hole, plugging it. Moya starbursts prematurely in season one and gets stuck, she is burned later in season two, and her "power" is shut down by a Builder later in season two.

Rygel is stuck in the inner hull breach of Moya. Chiana gets stuck in ice while doing laundry when the amnexus fluids freeze around her. John and Aeryn are frozen in ice by Nilaam after Aeryn tries to shoot her.

D'Argo says this line after he and Nilaam, now a young Luxan woman, engage in a little "recreational activity."
