Answer: White

Whilst the White Chocobo can be found at Mideel and taking part in Chocobo races, they cannot be bred by the player. Tickling behind its ears will net players the Contain Materia.

2. Which Weapon is fought at Mideel?

Answer: Ultimate Weapon

Ultimate Weapon is one the Weapons players must fight to progress the narrative, unlike Ruby Weapon and Emerald Weapon, who are completely optional. With that said, after the mandatory battle with Ultimate Weapon at Mideel, future encounters with it are optional.

3. After being found on the coast near Mideel, Cloud is brought in to the town and becomes non-playable for a while. What kind of poisoning does the Mideel doctor identify Cloud as having?

Answer: Mako poisoning

After falling into the lifestream, Cloud unfortunately falls into a vegetative state due to advanced mako poisoning. Players will now take control of the mighty Cid Highwind for a while.

4. The landscape of Mideel completely changes after a certain boss fight.

Answer: True

Due to the devastation caused by Ultimate Weapon, Mideel's ground breaks apart, allowing the Lifestream to completely destroy most of the town's buildings. I hope the Chocobo survived...

The shop also sells MP Plus, Transform, Gravity, and Destruct.

Mideel is the only location in which the Crystal Cross can be bought, and can be equipped by Yuffie. It has a generous six Materia slots, each being linked.

7. Who falls into the lifestream with Cloud?

Answer: Tifa

Whilst Cloud and Tifa are floating through the lifestream, Tifa is able to explore Cloud's subconscious which finally reveals his true past. I wonder how Tifa didn't get mako poisoning, though?

8. After breaking the key on the "door" in the weapon shop and selecting the correct dialogue option, which item is obtained?

Answer: Curse Ring

The Curse Ring can only be obtained twice during the game. One opportunity is at the Mideel weapon shop, the other during the Ultimate Weapon boss fight, in which it can be stolen. This makes the item permanently missable if the player doesn't acquire the ring during said opportunities.

9. Whilst in his vegetative state, Cloud mumbles something in reference to another SquareSoft game. Which game is it?

Answer: "Xenogears"

Cloud will mumble the song "Small two of Pieces", which can be heard in the game "Xenogears". Cloud will also say "zeno... gias", which read aloud sounds a lot like "Xenogears". In the PC release of "Final Fantasy VII", the reference would be made even more obvious when the dialogue was changed from "zeno... gias" to "xeno... gears".

10. Barret will stay with Cloud at the clinic whilst everyone else goes off to fight Shinra.

Answer: False

It is Tifa who stays with Cloud whilst he is recovering. This means both Cloud and Tifa become unplayable for a while.
