Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. +1 Die to crew in module

Answer: Jean Olowe

Jean, the crew Captain, is on the Iktomi to be an inspiring leader, and it's her presence in a module that will grant the possibility of giving all others in the same space an extra die to roll. This is done by placing a 5 or 6 into her Class slot. The only other means through which the crew can regain dice is by eating food between rounds, eating human meat between rounds, or healing up in the Life Support bay.
2. +2 Assist

Answer: Joy Lee

Joy might be one of the easier unlockable crew members to obtain since all you need to do to get her is use the Greenhouse to harvest twenty food across your games. A Technician, Joy is a useful character to have because a 5 or 6 die in her Class slot will give the crew 2 Assists, helpful for dodging injury, void, and stasis effects as they appear.

The only other way, generally, to get these is by using dice in the Laboratory.
3. +1 Ship

Answer: Pacal Lavorin

One of the core four you start the game with, Pacal is a good utility crew member to keep along for the ride since damage to the ship is one of the more prevalent dangers you'll face in any game. Every round, if you don't clear issues from their respective modules, damage will be done, often to the ship's hull, and while you can fix these issues from the Maintenance Bay with your dice, Pacal, as a Mechanic, can provide health to the hull with a role of 5 or 6 in his Class slot.
4. -20% Stress to crew in module

Answer: John Park

One of the unlockable crew members, you can earn John by collecting three hundred research across your games, three of which are always available to you at the cost of stored dice. John, a psychologist, has a Class slot that will reduce stress (by 20%) for all players in a module with him should he slot in a 5 or a 6. Stress, built up across the mission, can be reduced from the Operations Bay otherwise, and if a player has too much, it will have an effect on their actions and your final score.
5. +1 Health to crew in the module

Answer: Kayla Jones

Kayla Jones, the Doctor of "Tharsis", is a good crew member to keep amongst your quartet because she'll be one of the sole methods of ensuring the crew is kept healed up. Not only will some dice result in injury depending on the circumstances in each module, but crew can be harmed by uncleared modules themselves. Though a trip to the Medical Bay will be convenient, sometimes no one is afforded as much; Kayla's who you keep in these instances. Keeping a die of 5 or 6 in her Class slot will help this.
6. +1 Food, -1 Health

Answer: Sofia Diaz

Sofia Diaz is a bit of an unlikely candidate for the crew (don't these people get psych evaluations?) since she's classed as a Cannibal when you unlock her-- done by eating 120 instances of human meat between damage phases. By putting a 5 or 6 into her Class slot, she'll allow you to play the dangerous game of trading one of her health for a bit of food, allowing you to play around more with your capabilities from phase to phase.
7. Ignore movement damage

Answer: Yuri Novak

Passing through modules to prioritize certain types of damage can often be tricky because if you head through a part of the Iktomi that's facing a crisis, you'll take damage. Yuri, an unlockable Pilot character, is the balm to that as his passive Class ability allows him to move without worry for this. For other crew members to be able to do the same thing, they would need to roll a 5 and slot it into the Flight Control slot onboard.
8. 4 Repair

Answer: Niki Karam

A Commander, Niki is unique in that her Class slot can take any numbered die to be used, and when this is done, she'll provide +4 repair to any module. This means that you can easily take a 1, 2, or 3, and leverage that to give an extra boost (which will sometimes make the difference!).

Another unlockable character, she's obtained after 2,800 repairs are made across your games. Those numbers add up!
9. +1 Re-roll

Answer: Allison Silva

Allison's Class ability is passive, and doesn't require your dice rolls to succeed because she, as a Specialist aboard the Iktomi, is able to re-roll her dice an extra time should she not find her rolls conducive to success. Generally, any single crew member is able to roll and then re-roll their dice once; Allison does it twice.

This does come, of course, with the added risk of causing injury if she's in those cirucmstances.
10. Free research re-roll

Answer: This is not a trait

There are only nine crew members in "Tharsis" and you can only use four at a time. At any given time, however, you will be provided with three random research techs that you can bank dice towards and use from round to round. No crew member can alter these, but you can, at any time, swap out your set of techs for three new, random ones, at the cost of one of your banked dice.
