Online Shared Videos & Memes Trivia Questions

1. Who was Poultry Man?

From Quiz
Grian's "Hermitcraft 6"

Answer: Grian

'Poultry Man' was created by Grian when he and Mumbo created a message system between the bases. It was mostly Grian chucking eggs into the message tube...

2. Who published a book documenting the first few years of Dude Perfect's journey?

From Quiz Dude Perfect

Answer: Cory

Cory published the book "Go Big: Make Your Shot Count in the Connected World".

3. What was the first episode of "Death Battle" that was eventually remastered?

From Quiz Death Battle

Answer: "Boba Fett vs Samus"

Screwattack itself is named after the power-up from "Metroid", so it is fitting that this is the first episode of the series! The original was animated in sprites by the show's creator, Ben Singer, and the updated version animated with 3D models by Torrian Crawford contained a tribute to one of the show's biggest inspirations, Monty Oum.

4. Which movie was so bad that the two reviewers discussed various movie plots that they could have used to escape the theater, including "The Shawshank Redemption", "Papillon", and "Escape from Alcatraz"?

From Quiz Revenge of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: The Internship

Dave: "[Jake] could be Steve McQueen, and I'll be Hoffman." Brad: "So you'll jump off the roof of the building?" Dave: "Right, right. You could be Steve McQueen, and I'll be Dustin Hoffman. I won't make it in the end, but at least he'll have informed me of the plan!" This was viewed as infeasible, however, since Jake would have had to tunnel through the chair he was sitting in (which would require a tiny pickax and a miner's helmet for lighting), construct a dummy of himself, and put his clothes on it.

5. What model of car was the Jakemobile, which Jake attempted to give a full Viking funeral to?

From Quiz The Further Adventures of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: Chevrolet Lumina

Jake really did call City Hall and ask for the price of a permit for a Viking funeral for his car. He wanted to construct a raft, float his car out into the middle of a lake, and shoot flaming arrows at it until it sank. The City Hall representative told him never to call her again.

6. Dave's one-line summary of "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor" was a quote from which other notoriously terrible movie?

From Quiz The Adventures of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: Showgirls

"Man, everybody got AIDS and...!" That pretty much served as the bizarre "twist" in "Temptation". Judith, the titular marriage counselor, contracted HIV/AIDS from her secret lover, Harley, who also gave it to Melinda, portrayed bewilderingly by famed R&B singer Brandy. Amazingly, Judith's husband, Brice, managed to avoid contracting the disease.

7. What college did Rhett and Link both attend?

From Quiz Rhett and Link

Answer: North Carolina State University

They were roommates at NC State and they both have degrees in engineering.

8. Starting with the meme that inspired this quiz, what does it mean when someone says "Haters to the left"?

From Quiz Haters to the Left

Answer: Negative people should leave

This meme started in 2007 when the phrase was used in an episode of the TV show "30 Rock". The character Kenneth said "Don't let no one in who's not on the list cause this mess is gonna get raw like sushi. So, haters to the left." According to Google Trends searches for the phrase suddenly jumped up in mid-2009, peaking in January 2010.

9. Improv Everywhere got its start in August 2001 with an unplanned prank. Who did Charlie Todd, in a short-sleeved red-and-white plaid shirt and shorts, impersonate?

From Quiz Just for Laughs

Answer: Ben Folds

Though there is no video for this impromptu prank, Todd did write it up and post it on the Improv Everywhere website with a picture of himself. On the second night of the impersonation, they expanded quite a bit and pretended that "Ben's" wallet had been stolen. One of the women gave "Ben" her phone number. An attempt was made to call the number, albeit five years later, but the phone was not in service.

10. In 2004, Gary Brolsma became a highly-mimicked internet sensation after singing and dancing to what European dance song?

From Quiz Viral Videos - 'Chocolate Rain' to 'Nyan Cat'

Answer: "Dragosta Din Tei" by O-Zone

After appearing on YouTube, Gary Brolsma became known as 'The Numa Numa Guy', particularly because of his singing and dancing to "Dragosta Din Tei", known to many as 'The Numa Numa Song' because its Romanian lyrics include the repeated line "Numa Numa iei'. After amassing millions upon millions of views over the years, Brolsma appeared in legitimate TV shows, commercials, and music videos. After less than four years online, 'The Numa Numa Guy' video was sneaking up on ten million views. As most viral videos do, this particular online video received tons of copycats and parodies.

11. Rebecca Black's "Friday" gained viral popularity after being uploaded to what online video streaming website?

From Quiz Black "Friday"

Answer: Youtube

"Friday" was a clear indicator of the power of the internet. Youtube, created in 2005, became one of the Internet's most-visited sites in subsequent years and was acquired by Google in 2010. Without Youtube, "Friday" may never have been as famous as it was. After being uploaded to the site on February 10th, 2011, the video only took in a couple thousand viewers but this number surged in the following weeks. In less than three months, the video had amassed over one hundred thirty million views, and perhaps it was for all the wrong reasons.

12. In "James and Mike Play: NES Golf", James says that his father only played "Golf" and what other game for the console?

From Quiz The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN)

Answer: "Top Gun"

James adds that his father could land the plane in the first level with ease, something that the Nerd cannot do.

13. How many fingers does Salad Fingers have on one hand?

From Quiz The Lonely Green Man

Answer: Three

Salad Fingers only has three rather long fingers on each of his hands.

14. In 'Potions Class', how does Snape finally get Harry's attention?

From Quiz 'Potter Puppet Pals': The Quiz

Answer: He mentions how to get a girlfriend

As part of a quote from Snape: 'I can teach you how to ----------------- (blah blah blah) even score with hot babes.' This gets Harry's attention, but Snape then dismisses the class, and refuses to teach Harry about this fascinating subject. Dumbledore then arrives, looking for some expired gorilla milk. This was the first video to be done with puppets.

15. What is the first name of the creator of this series?

From Quiz Why Did You Abridge That?

Answer: Martin

Martin Billany is the creator of YGOTAS; he also does every main character's voice. He participates in "Wa-Chow!", an internet podcast, which discusses various topics and shares its humor for everybody to enjoy. Not only did Martin create the Abridged series, he also created a number of spin-off videos viewable at his website included in the description, as well as on YouTube (channel CardGamesFTW).

16. How many players were there in the beginning of the season?

From Quiz "The Tester": Season 1

Answer: Eleven

Eleven people were selected from thousands of audition tapes.

17. Brad claimed that the children's movie "The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure" would have been better if it were done in a similar style to which other movie?

From Quiz Revenge of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: After Hours

The others might well have been interesting ideas, but Brad said that "The Oogieloves" should have been done as a dark comedy. Griffin Dunne, playing his character from "After Hours", would be trying to get his balloons back while interacting with the characters from "The Oogieloves". It would be both bizarre and amazing.

18. Adam Sandler is quite possibly Jake's least favorite actor of all time. Who is the only person who Jake said has ever made Adam Sandler funny?

From Quiz The Further Adventures of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: Chris Farley & Farley

Jake claimed that, during his early days on Saturday Night Live, Adam Sandler was only ever funny when he was being supported by Chris Farley in such sketches as "Zagat's". Since then, Jake said, Sandler has only gotten worse and worse, especially since he no longer has anyone to rein him in.

19. When Jake told the story about the two "bros" who were confused by the poster for "Exodus: Gods and Kings", what was the other Bible-related movie that Brad thought they might be seeing first?

From Quiz The Adventures of the Midnight Screeners

Answer: The Hobbit & Hobbit

As Jake was taking a smoke break, two "bros" were walking into the theater, when Bro #1 asked, "Dude, what's 'Exodus'?" Bro #2, slightly dumbfounded, replied, "It's...it's the story of Moses," to which Bro #1 replied, "I know, but what BOOK is it from?" Bro #2 was flabbergasted at Bro #1's stupidity, while Jake was laughing his butt off.

20. What was day 4's prize in Rhett and Link's "12 Mythical Days of Christmas?"

From Quiz Rhett and Link

Answer: 27 song CD titled "Up To This Point"

The "12 Mythical Days of Christmas" was a chance for Rhett and Link to give back to their fans. It consisted of a prompt every day for twelve days where the fans needed to take pictures and upload them by 9 AM the following morning. Each day's prizes accumulated. The day 2 winner received day 1's prize and day 2's. The day 3 winner received day 1, day 2, and day 3's prizes.

21. The meme "I don't want to live on this planet any more" involves a still shot of a frowning character from which cartoon?

From Quiz Haters to the Left

Answer: Futurama

The meme features Professor Farnsworth with accompanying text which is a quote made by the character in a 2010 episode of the show. The image is often used in comments threads and forums to express disgust at what a previous contributor has said. The meme shows up in Google Trends about six months after the episode was originally aired, peaking in late 2011.

22. Appearing on the web in 2003, 'Star Wars Kid' featured a teenager pretending to wield a lightsaber in his garage. What item was substituted for a lightsaber?

From Quiz Viral Videos - 'Chocolate Rain' to 'Nyan Cat'

Answer: Golf ball retriever

Here's a video that was never intended to see the light of day. Filmed by a Canadian teenager, the video was found by his school friends on a cassette and placed online in 2003 against the 'Star Wars Kid's' best wishes; a lawsuit ensued, but after over a billion views, the video was too popular not to be unseen. 'Star Wars Kid' was parodied on nearly every major animated show in the 2000s as well as comedies such as "Arrested Development". The video simply features the kid swinging a golf club around the basement to the "Star Wars" theme.

23. "Friday" was produced by what then-unknown music recording company?

From Quiz Black "Friday"

Answer: Ark Music Factory

According to Black, the song was a gift from her parents as part of a 'make your own music video' package and her parents paid four thousand dollars to produce the video through Ark Music Factory, a company which allows teens to star in their own video with an original song. Unsurprisingly, the owners of this company made headlines in 2011 for their role in bringing what many consider 'the worst song ever' to fruition (including the songwriting credits), but the bad publicity didn't stop them from continuing to release other 'undiscovered' teen performers on their Youtube account and website. Black has stated that the producers gave her a choice between two songs; one can only imagine the other offering.

24. What two games in the notorious multicart "Action 52" will not load for James in his review of it?

From Quiz The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN)

Answer: "Alfredo" and "Jigsaw"

This is apparently a common error in certain cartridges. Did you know that there was a competition where people would gather and attempt to finish the 5th level of "Ooze"? There was prize money but that was not given out. Why? Not because the level was too difficult, because the game was so poorly made that progression past the level was impossible. As an "Action 52" owner I have tried both games James had trouble with, and they worked. I can say that they are definitely not worth playing, as well as just about every other game on the cartridge.

25. Salad Fingers has a lot of friends (though most of them seem to be inanimate objects) who he often talks to. Which friend found a tragic death at Salad Fingers' hands?

From Quiz The Lonely Green Man

Answer: Bordois

Salad Fingers accidentally squashed Bordois, the woodlouse, by "stroking" her with his finger. He didn't seem to realise she died, nor that it was, in fact, his fault. Hubert Cumberdale is one of Salad Fingers' recurring finger puppet friends and he also appears as "Barbara Logan-Price" when Salad Fingers can't seem to remember his name. Mable is the first and only other human being who talks to Salad Fingers; her fate is unknown.

26. In 'Mysterious Ticking Noise', what is the source of the ticking?

From Quiz 'Potter Puppet Pals': The Quiz

Answer: A Pipebomb

The pipe bomb is found by Ron and they cheer. It then blows up, and Voldemort appears, singing his name to the tune of 'Lollipop'. This is one of the most watched videos on Youtube.

27. Among all of the voices Mr. Billany does, Tristan could be thought of as the funniest. What popular children's icon does he sound most similar to?

From Quiz Why Did You Abridge That?

Answer: Barney the Dinosaur

Tristan, one of the minor characters of the series, is decidedly stupid the way Martin casted him. In fact, in the second episode, Martin deliberately makes his character into Barney the Dinosaur, doing things such as relating himself to a large purple dinosaur and singing, "I love you, you love me."

28. Who were the first two people to be eliminated?

From Quiz "The Tester": Season 1

Answer: Barmy and Roni

Fame Girl was also up for elimination but stayed due to her ability to describe differences with plenty of detail.

29. How many people were in Dude Perfect when it started?

From Quiz Dude Perfect

Answer: Six

One of the founders was a man named Sean. He left Dude Perfect to pursue a medical degree.

30. What was the first 3D animated fight?

From Quiz Death Battle

Answer: "Link vs Cloud"

The first two 3D fights of the show were animated by Jordan Lange, who was eventually replaced by Torrian Crawford. Lange is the first "Death Battle" animator to animate a 2D sprite and 3D model fight for the series. Lange's second and final 3D "Death Battle" was the controversial "Goku vs Superman".
