From Quiz
"The Amazing Race Canada 6" [5]

Leaving the coast of P.E.I., teams opened some early morning clues telling them to take flights via Toronto to Mexico City, nearly five thousand kilometres away. Upon arriving in the Mexican capital, teams had to navigate to the Monumento a la Revolución in Plaza de la República Their next clue would be found when they took the elevator to the top of the monument, but it would be an unconventional one-- all of the teams received messages from loved ones on iPads, and those family members gave them their next clue to send them to the nearby Frontón Mexico building.

2. In Leg 7, teams completed tasks in what Manitoba city?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [4]

Upon landing, teams needed to locate a marked 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR-2 and navigate their way to the Canadian Museum of Human Rights. Inside, they had to match eighteen quotes from human rights heroes found in the museum to the proper person, searching the eleven galleries inside for the answers.

3. In the fifth leg of the race, teams flew to Ontario and had to search for an automotive plant in what town?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [3]

Answer: Ingersoll

Leaving Jakarta at the start of Leg 5, teams departed in the middle of the night and flew (via Tokyo, Japan) to Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. Upon arriving, teams would locate their next clue in the 2018 Chevrolet Equinoxes parked at the terminal. Finding this, they were told to drive themselves to the plant where their vehicles were made-- the Cami Automotive Assembly Plant in Ingersoll, Ontario. Teams had to avoid driving to Oshawa and St. Catherines, home to other Chevrolet plants, to sign up for entry at the plant the next morning at which point they would learn how to assemble the front door of the vehicle to get their next clue.

Answer: Skipthedishes

Teams collected a Detour task at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights and it forced a choice between 'Tights' and 'Bites'. In 'Tights', teams needed to head to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet where they needed to learn the steps to a sequence from Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake' and perform them properly for an artistic director to get their next clue. Leanne and Mar, Taylor and Courtney, and Nancy and Mellisa did this. Martina and Phil, Adam and Courtney, and Dylan and Kwame completed 'Bites' instead, sending them to the headquarters for the Skipthedishes app to receive smartphones they could use to make two proper deliveries in the Winnipeg area. If they received two positive reviews they could get their next clue.

6. Who did not participate in the stage fighting Road Block in Leg 5?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [3]

Answer: Martina

Following the task at Cami, teams were given a clue sending them to Stratford, Ontario where they had to search outside the Stratford Festival Theatre to locate their next clue. This ended up being the Road Block for this leg of the race and it asked teams for 'who wants a fighting chance'. In this task, the selected team member needed to dress in period costumes and work with a fight director to learn an intricate stage-fight sequence to perform onstage. If they could properly perform the fight they could get their next clue. Phil, both Courtneys, Kwame, Mellisa, Zainab, and Mar completed this task.

7. The first Road Block of the race, found in Leg 1, required that team members make a leap for which plush animal?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [1]

Answer: Beaver

Arriving at Tsawwassen Terminal in Squamish, teams needed to drive themselves north to the Sea to Sky Gondola and then ride it 850m to the top of the mountain to receive their next clue. This turned out to be a Road Block task, and it asked teams 'Who wants to save a beaver?' For this task, one team member had to retrieve a plush beaver, but to do that they had to head out to a net suspended between the nearby cliffs (via zipline) and perform a heart-stopping bungee swing, 500m over the canyon below. Chewy, Nancy, Leanne, Todd, Taylor, Phil, Adam, Akash, Dylan, and Monica chose to be beaver heroes.

8. The fourth leg of the race, set in Jakarta, Indonesia, saw the return of what race mechanic during the Detour task?

From Quiz Detours of "The Amazing Race Canada 6"

Answer: Double U-Turn

Teams racing through Jakarta, Indonesia in Leg 4, teams had to complete a series of cultural tasks with the knowledge that a Double U-Turn would be ahead. The Detour appeared halfway through the leg and forced a choice between 'Ular' and 'Kebaya', one task of which involved snakes and leeches and the other of which involved sewing. Although all teams ended up choosing 'Ular', Martina and Phil and Todd and Anna had to do both sides of the Detour, having been targeted by Nancy and Mellisa and Zainab and Monica, respectively. Todd and Anna, despite finishing on the podium in the first three legs, were eliminated as a result. As a note, the Double U-Turn found in Leg 4 was 'blind', meaning that the users would not need to be identified.

Once both team members had their faces completed they could move on. In 'Mercado', teams instead went to Central de Abasto, the world's largest market, where they had to us a shopping list and find four marked stalls to buy cilantro, green chili peppers, onions, tomatoes, and limes. Teams then had to combine the ingredients and make a true pico de gallo for their next clue. Nancy and Mellisa were the only ones to complete 'Mercado'; all the rest did 'Muertos'.

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [4]

Answer: Darts

Completing their Detour tasks, teams were directed to a Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Winnipeg where they needed to compete in a Face Off, battling against each other in order to be able to collect their next clue and proceed with the race. Teams took the TTC to The Monkey Paw bookshop in Downtown Toronto and faced a Double U-Turn Board before their Detour sending them to a dance club to learn some moves for 'Walk the Part' or to a cafe to become baristas and learn to make some 'Latte Art'. The leg ended with a footrace between the trailing teams and Adam and Courtney narrowly outran Nancy and Mellisa to the mat. With no non-elimination legs remaining, there was no chance of being saved again; Nancy and Mellisa were eliminated in fifth place on a bad taxi ride-- they left the final task in third.

The last to arrive was Nancy and Mellisa who fell behind during the Face Off and were unable to recover in time to get back into the pack. They were, however, saved by the race's second non-elimination leg. They would, of course, need to face a Speed Bump in Leg 8.

18. Which team was last to arrive at the Pit Stop at the end of Leg 5 in Ontario?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [3]

Answer: Zainab and Monica

After the Detour, teams headed to Queen of the Square-- Stratford City Hall-- to find Jon and the fifth Pit Stop mat inside. Most teams, upon discovering this, had to return to their vehicles to grab their backpacks to check in. Taylor and Courtney were the first team to arrive following a quick trip down the Avon, winning a trip for two to London, England for their efforts. At the end of the leg, Zainab and Monica were the last to arrive at the mat, but they discovered that the leg wasn't over; Jon handed them a clue sending them to Toronto.

There, they had to search through the grounds for Mill #3 and, inside, they would find Jon at the first Pit Stop of the race. At the end of the leg, Argos cheerleaders Leanne and Mar overtook Nancy and Mellisa to become the first team to step on the mat, and in doing so they won a trip for two to Tokyo, Japan. The last five teams raced out of Darrell Bay at the same time, leading to an intense footrace at the Mine Museum. In the end, Chewy and Happy were last to step on the mat and were the first team eliminated from the race.

Leanne and Mar, Taylor and Courtney, and Nancy and Mellisa all completed 'Tights' with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, learning intricate steps to Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake' and performing them for an artistic director with two other dancers to get their next clue. In 'Bites', the remaining three teams joined the logistics team at Skipthedishes-- a food delivery app-- where they had to pick up a smartphone, retrieve two meals, and deliver them to two different locations in the city. Upon receiving feedback from their customers they would receive their next clue.

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [5]

Flying back to Canada (once again via Toronto), teams needed to travel from Mexico City and up to Fredericton, the capital city of New Brunswick. Upon arriving, teams visited Officer's Square for a task in the Garrison District in which they had to watch two different changing of the guard ceremonies (one in the square and one at city hall). If they could identify the one difference between the ceremonies, a single extra step at the Officer's Square ceremony, they could get their next clue and head to a Detour task at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown.

23. In Leg 6, teams drove to Toronto, finding a Road Block task waiting for them at which city landmark?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [3]

Answer: Yonge-Dundas Square

After the non-Pit Stop in Stratford, teams were told to drive to Toronto via Highway 401 and make their way to City Hall in Nathan Phillips Square (in the downtown core). Once there, the teams needed to ascend to the observation deck and search the 27th balconies to spot their next clue waiting at Yonge-Dundas Square. This ended up being a Road Block, and the participating team members (Taylor, Martina, Nancy, Mar, Dylan, Adam, and Monica) had to fill 2018 Chevrolet Sparks with a series of urban essentials before precisely reversing the spark on a marked course using the vehicle's rear-view camera. After this, their On-Star rep would give them their clue.

24. In Leg 4, teams flew to Indonesia, arriving in what major city?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [2]

Answer: Jakarta

Early in the morning at the start of Leg 4, teams were taken to Duncan, British Columbia where, opening their first clue, they were told to fly to the city of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia more than 13,000 kilometres away. Teams had to sign up for performances upon arriving since they got there so late at night.

25. In Leg 2, teams flew to the Yukon Territory to complete tasks in what location?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [1]

Answer: Dawson City

In the second leg of the race, nine teams departed from Squmish, B.C. and headed to the airport to fly to the gold rush city of Dawson City, Yukon. There, teams would be racing in the northernmost location "The Amazing Race Canada" had ever visited. Heading out from the first Pit Stop, teams were also told that in this leg of the race, there would be three separate Express Passes that could be claimed. All nine teams took the same flight to Dawson City, leaving from Vancouver and connecting through Whitehorse, before claiming their next clue from their Chevrolet Silverado vehicles at the airport.

26. In P.E.I. in Leg 8, how many people completed the Road Block task at 'The Table' restaurant?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [4]

Answer: Six & 6

Combining their clue fragments, teams were told: 'Search for your next clue near the corner of Route 6... and Grahams Road, but first... say goodbye to Charlottetown!'. Arriving at their destination, they found a restaurant in an old church and, there, team members completed a Road Block. For this task, the participants had to receive a menu listing a four-course meal that they would have to serve to the customers therein. All of the choices, however, were listed in word scrambles and needed to be deciphered and served in order before teams could continue on. Courtney, Nancy, Mar, Phil, Taylor, and Kwame completed this one.

27. Which team used the Double U-Turn board in Toronto in Leg 6?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [3]

Answer: Courtney and Adam

After the Road Block, teams were told to make their way exclusively by TTC (the Toronto subway system) to the Monkey's Paw bookshop in Bloor West Village where they could collect their next clue from the Biblio-Mat Book Dispensing Machine. Here, teams also located the Double U-Turn before collecting a small Detour clue. Only Courtney and Adam decided to use this U-Turn to give themselves a buffer near the back of the pack. They ended up forcing Zainab and Monica to do both sides of the Detour as a result. No one else was targeted.

28. What kind of U-Turn was featured in Indonesia in Leg 4?

From Quiz "The Amazing Race Canada 6" [2]

Answer: Blind Double U-Turn

Teams made their way to Pelabuhan Sunda Kelapa-- Jakarta's old port-- to find their next clue, and it was there that they located a truckload of prickly durian fruits. Once they transported enough durians onto a docked pinisi boat, they could get their next clue, which turned out to send them to Pasar Burong Barito, a local bird market. There, teams located the Double Blind U-Turn, which allowed them to force teams to complete both sides of the upcoming Detour (and without sharing their identities). Nancy and Mellisa U-Turned Martina and Phil while Zainab and Monica U-Turned Todd and Anna.

29. Which team member completed the Jai Aial Road Block task in Mexico in Leg 9?

From Quiz Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race Canada 6"

Answer: Martina

Visiting Mexico City for the ninth leg of the race, teams visited the Frontón Mexico building near Plaza de la República to suit up and pick one member per team to learn the popular sport of Jai Alai, which involves using a unique, wicker scoop known as a cesta to hurl a ball across a court. When the selected team member made one proper serve they could continue racing, but said serve needed to hit the wall properly and bounce into a designated range to count. Courtney, Courtney, Dylan, Mellisa, and Martina were chosen for this task.

30. In 'Mercado' in Leg 9, teams traveled through the world's largest market (in Mexico) to find ingredients for which dish?

From Quiz Detours of "The Amazing Race Canada 6"

Answer: Pico de gallo

In Leg 9, teams headed to Mexico City where a Detour sent them to either a Day of the Dead-themed task or a Mexican market. Most teams did the former, painting each others' faces in Day of the Dead styles to collect their clue. Nancy and Mellisa were the only team to complete 'Mercado', however, which sent them through Central de Abasto hunting for ingredients for pico de gallo. Once they found the ingredients, bought them, and made the dish, they could continue on. This did prove to be the more difficult task as it sent Nancy and Mellisa to the back of the pack.
