Born 3 November 1933, his time at Eton College was not a happy one due to his learning difficulties as a result of dyslexia. He also had problems pronouncing his 'R's as he was born with rhotacism, which he had surgery to correct in his teens. When he took to the stage, his father insisted that he changed his name for the sake of the family honour, and so the name 'Brett' was taken from the manufacturers of his first suit Brett & Co. Robert Downey Jr played Holmes in the films 'Sherlock Holmes' and 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Benedict Cumberbatch portrayed the sleuth in the BBC television series 'Sherlock' in 2010, and Basil Rathbone starred in 14 films from 1939 to 1946 and was considered the definitive Holmes for his era.

Born 11 November 1962, Demi Guynes was cross eyed as a child which was corrected through two corrective surgeries and obviously helped as she went into modeling and appeared nude in "Oui" Magazine in 1980, before making her first movie appearance a year later in "Choices".

Her infamous nude photo shoot, for 'Vanity Fair' when seven months pregnant caused a stirred in 1991, as it was intended to portray an 'anti-hollywood' theme but sparked interest above and beyond it's original intent. She has had a hand in several business activities investing in the Hard Rock chain of restaurants, and was the executive producer for all three Austin Power films.

She is also a well known doll collector having over 2,000 dolls which at one point, were housed in their own building. The obvious cinematic clues were "St Elmo's Fire" and "Indecent Proposal" but the other lesser distinct clues which may have passed you by were, Plain Jane = the film "GI Jane", Incorporeal Body = "Ghost".

Hamill before "Star Wars" was better known for voicing the character 'Corey Anders' on the cartoon programme 'Jeannie'. His friend, Robert Englund (best known as 'Freddie' from the Nightmare on Elm Street films), was auditioning for a part in "Apocalypse Now" when he passed a nearby audition session for the Star Wars film and thought Hamill would be ideally suited for the role, so he informed Hamill who auditioned and got the part.

Although he is synonymous with Luke Skywalker, Hamill has gained a reputation for voice acting, especially for being the voice for 'The Joker' in "Batman: The Animated Series". The other names were all actors from "Star Wars" with Harrison Ford portraying 'Han Solo', Kenneth Baker was 'R2-D2' and Peter Mayhew was the hairy 'Chewbacca'.

Born on 4 June 1975, Angelina Jolie Voight made her cinematic debut aged seven in "Lookin' to Get Out" (1982) alongside her father, Jon Voight, but her first significant film was in "Cyborg 2" in 1993. Her first lead in a major film was in "Hackers" in 1995, but it was "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in 2001 which propelled her to worldwide stardom. Due to her being left-handed, she needed to have guns especially made for the "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" films so that she could reload them easily. The cinematic clues here were "Salt" and "Mr and Mrs Smith" (starring with partner Brad Pitt), and the computer game heroine relates to the two films about the "Tomb Raider".

Answer: Brent Spiner

Brent Jay Spiner was born 2 February 1949 and his pre-"Star Trek" work was mainly stage orientated and included plays "The Three Musketeers" and "Sunday in the Park with George". He appeared in single episodes for several TV shows between 1984 and 1987, with even a film appearance in "Rent Control" in 1984 (he appeared in other made for TV films). However, 1987 was the year in which Lieutenant Commander Data came 'alive' and gained fame of a similar level to Spock in the original series.

Due to Brent being left handed, it follows that Data also appears to be left handed which can be spotted when he is seen painting, using a pen or performing gun tricks in the TV episodes "11001001", "Time's Arrow" and "A Fistful of Datas". But Data isn't Brent's only well known role. He played (and received an award) for the role of Dr Brackish Okun in the 1996 film "Independence Day".

Julia Fiona Roberts came in to the world on 28 October 1967 and her first big screen appearance was in the film "Satisfaction" in 1988. She also appeared in "Mystic Pizza" and "Steel Magnolias" (in 1988 and 1989 respectively) before hitting it big with "Pretty Woman" in 1990.

She is an expert equestrian and is known to spend time on set knitting when not shooting scenes. So much is her fascination with the subject, she has produced and starred in an adaptation of the novel "The Friday Night Knitting Club". The clues were "Pretty Woman", and "Sleeping With the Enemy" and you may have caught the "Runaway Bride" reference as well.

Aristotelis "Telly" Savalas was born 21 January 1922 in New York to Greek-American parents. He could only speak Greek when he went to Sewanhaka High School but learnt English there and graduated in 1940. His first work was in television in 1959 - "And Bring Home a Baby" which was an episode of the "Armstrong Circle Theater".

His first film role after being discovered by Burt Lancaster was in "The Young Savages" in 1961 as a police officer. Telly's shaved head was purely done for the role of Pontius Pilate in the film "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (1965); he liked it so much he decided to remain follicle-free ever since. He was also a 'Pop star' although he never sang, but spoke the lyrics for "If", which was a number 1 hit in Europe for ten weeks in 1975.

Dorothy Faye Dunaway, born 14 January 1941, is well known for her huge array of top quality films. She is of Scots, Irish, English and German descent and whose parents were a housewife and a career (non-commissioned) officer in the US Army. Her first film was in "The Happening" in 1967 followed by "Hurry Sundown" before clinching the female lead in the famous film "Bonnie and Clyde" (all in the same year) and which got her an Oscar nomination. Despite putting impressive consistent performances, her career dwindled in the 1980s most likely due the film "Mommie Dearest" which Dunaway blames the 'Razzie' (for Worst Actress) she received for the role and was panned by film critics despite it doing well at the box office.

The clues were there my friend. She was the Bonnie in "Bonnie and Clyde" in 1967, and even appeared in both versions of "The Thomas Crown Affair", with Steve McQueen in 1968 as his leading lady, and in the 1999 version as a psychiatrist. The "Three Days of the Condor" in 1975 saw her aiding Robert Redford and she won an Oscar for her appearance in "Network" in 1976. She starred in "The Eyes of Laura Mars" in 1978.

His first acting job was offered to him only a few seconds after graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts by fellow Australian Denise Roberts for the drama series "Corelli", which is where he met his wife Deborra-Lee Furness. His early performances were mainly on stage, earning an Olivier Award in 1998 for 'Best Actor in a Musical' for his role in "Oklahoma!" in London's West End, before appearing in two films "Erskineville Kings" and "Paperback Hero" the following year. Mary Stuart Masterson was born on 28 June 1966 and studied at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center with other actors such as Robert Downey Jr and Jon Cryer. She was only eight years old when she appeared in her first film "The Stepford Wives" in 1975, playing the role of a girl to her real-life father. However, she subsequently chose to continue with her studies before returning to the screen in 1985 in "Heaven Help Us".

Yes, I did say there was plenty of clues here, and another one was when she appeared in "Some Kind of Wonderful" in 1987 by which she then became associated with the so called 'Brat Pack'. Also in 1987, she appeared in "Gardens of Stone" where her real parents played the part of her on-screen parents in the film - isn't that cheating?

The other clues? Well, yes. She appeared in films called "Bad Girls" in 1994 and "Bed of Roses" in 1996 and lo and behold, in 1997, she made her directorial debut with the film, yep - you've guessed it, "The Cake Eaters".
