Answer: Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the team debuted in 'Fantastic Four' (vol.1) #1 in 1961. It would be 24 years later (1985) before Sue would demand to be called the Invisible Woman.
2. How did the four original members of the Fantastic Four receive their powers?

Answer: Exposure to cosmic rays

The quartet take a rocket ship into outer space, and its ship does not shield them from a bombardment of cosmic rays.

Answer: Ability to create invisible force fields

Sue is able to generate invisible force fields with varying degrees of rigidity and size. In the same issue she also discovers she is able to temporarily make other people or objects invisible as well.
