Over the generations, the name has been spelled many different ways, from Akins to Archens to Akens or Akenns.

2. The Wee Free Men are the little blue men with Scottish accents that Tiffany meets. What other names do they have?

Answer: The Nac Mac Feegle and pictsies

The Nac Mac Feegle were thrown out of Fairyland for being Drunk and Disorderly.

3. Who is the Big Man of the clan of Wee Free Men that Tiffany knows?

Answer: Rob Anybody

Some people I know didn't get the joke in Rob's name the first time. Fion is the Kelda's daughter, sister to most of the other pictsies. Hamish flies on birds.

4. What does Tiffany's name mean in the Wee Free Men's language?

Answer: Land Under Wave

In their tongue, her name is Tir-far-thoinn (with a little accent on the 'o'), which Tiffany thinks sounds like 'Tiffan'. She is good with cheese, but that's not her name.

5. Tiffany's brother Wentworth is kidnapped by the Queen. What is the only thing he wants?

Answer: Sweets

The Queen will give him everything he wants forever, but all he wants is sweets. So, all he will get is sweets, because she won't give him what he needs.

6. What type of tobacco did Tiffany's grandmother smoke?

Answer: Jolly Sailor

Farmers thought it was lucky to leave some Jolly Sailor at the place where her hut was. The Feegles took it.

7. What is the Wee Free Men's leader called?

Answer: Kelda

The Kelda has to marry a Feegle to become Kelda. Tiffany managed to escape this fate by choosing Rob Anybody and saying their wedding would be on an impossible date.

8. Which of these fairy tale creatures do not appear in this book?

Answer: Talking, singing mice

Tiffany bashed Jenny on the head (then looked to see how big a plate was, because her book said Jenny had eyes the size of dinner plates), fought the grimhounds and got caught in a few dromes. Unless I'm very much mistaken, there were no singing mice in this, there were in the Disney film "Cinderella".

9. What was the name of the person who had stolen a baby when Tiffany was younger?

Answer: Miss Female Infant Robinson

Her mother, in the typical way of many people on the Discworld, was not very good when it came to naming children.

10. What did the toad turn out to be?

Answer: A lawyer

And so the Nac Mac Feegle got their own lawyer. Not really the best of ideas.
