4. What was the name of a popular magazine for teenage girls, published from 1964 to 1993, featuring the "Cathy and Claire" problem page?

Answer: Jackie

"Jackie" was allegedly named after popular children's author Jacqueline Wilson, who worked for the publishing company at the time. As well as the famed problem page, it offered tips on make up and fashion, articles on pop starts and a centre page pull out of the latest heartthrob.

Many a young girl's bedroom was decorated with "Jackie" centerfolds of David Cassidy and Marc Bolan, to name but two!
5. What was the name of the last passenger pigeon, which died in Cincinnati Zoo in 1914?

Answer: Martha

At the time that Europeans first settled in America, the passenger pigeon could be numbered in billions. During migration, flocks could be up to 300 miles long, taking days to pass by. Because of the damage they caused to farm crops, and the fact that they were quite tasty, they were hunted to extinction. The passenger pigeon memorial is situated at Cincinnati Zoo and depicts a statue of Martha.
6. Singer Toni Basil had a 1982 hit with which song?

Answer: Mickey

"Mickey" was written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn and originally titled "Kitty". Toni Basil changed the lyrics to reflect her one time crush on Micky Dolenz of "The Monkees". "Mickey" was a one-hit wonder for Toni Basil, reaching the Billboard No. 1 spot in December 1982.
7. Jennifer Aniston starred in a film with Ben Stiller in 2004. What was the name of her character in this film?

Answer: Polly

"Along Came Polly" was a romantic comedy. Jennifer Aniston's character was an off the wall foil for Stiller's buttoned up insurance man. Although panned by the critics as being formulaic (it was a romcom - what did they expect?) I found it reasonably amusing. It received an MTV Movie Award nomination for Best Dance Scene, and a Razzie nomination for Ben Stiller as Worst Actor.
8. In 2006 a Sudanese man married a goat. What was the goat's name?

Answer: Rose

The story of this unusual marriage was one of the most talked about news stories of 2006. Rose's bridegroom had to pay a dowry of 15,000 dinars. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't last long as poor Rose died in 2007, having choked to death on a plastic bag. She was survived by her husband and four month old kid.
9. Which name comes from the Welsh meaning for beautiful?

Answer: Tegan

Tabitha is of Aramaic origin and means "gazelle". Thomasina is Latin/Greek origin and means "little twin". Tallulah is Gaelic for "lady" or "princess".
10. If you've taken the time to travel through this quiz, the correct answers will lead you to the name of a long running television series.

Answer: Doctor Who

They are all names of characters in Doctor Who.

Astrid appeared in the Christmas special of 2007 "Voyage of the Damned". She was played by Kylie Minogue.

Donna Noble was played by comedienne/actress Catherine Tate. She first appeared in one scene of the last episode of the 2006 series, entitled "Doomsday". She reappeared in the Christmas special of 2006 "The Runaway Bride". Donna joined The Doctor as his companion for the 2008 series.

Jamie (James Robert McCrimmon) appeared on the show from 1966-1969. He was an 18th century piper and wore a rather fetching kilt. He was played by Frazer Hines. However, at one point during filming Frazer Hines contracted chickenpox. The storyline was altered to accommodate a change of face and actor Hamish Wilson took over for a while.

Jackie was the mother of Doctor Who's companion Rose Tyler. She was played by Camille Coduri. Jackie was a widow and Rose was her only child, so it was no surprise that she had ambivalent feelings towards The Doctor for taking her daughter away on dangerous adventures.

Martha (Dr Martha Jones) was The Doctor's companion in the 2007 series. Her character decided to leave The Doctor because of her unrequited love for him. She was played by Freema Agyeman and made several guest appearances in the 2008 series.

Mickey Smith was played by Noel Clarke. He was Rose Tyler's boyfriend before she met The Doctor. He appeared intermittently in the 2005, 2006 and 2008 series.

Polly played a companion to the first and second Doctors and appeared in the series in 1966 and 1967. She was played by Anneke Wills.

Rose Tyler was played by former singer Billie Piper. She travelled with the ninth and tenth Doctors in the 2005 and 2006 series, and made guest appearances in 2008. For the first time in the history of the series, romance was in the air for The Doctor and his companion.

Tegan Jovanka was played by Janet Fielding. The character was an Australian airline stewardess and appeared as a companion to the fourth and fifth doctors from 1981 to 1984.
