Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following "Gone With the Wind" stars smoked four packs a day while shooting the aforementioned movie?

Answer: Vivien Leigh

Four packs a day seems a little excessive.
2. What type of sound does the double 'L' make in most Spanish words?

Answer: Y

That isn't the useless trivia. The uselessness is that in the Southwest, if you mispronounce words such as tortilla and Cholla and Canyon de Chelley, you will be mercilessly teased behind your back- forever. (Actually, that might be useful for some of you travellers.) You should also watch out for G's and J's they sound like H's.
3. Which of the following names were not bestowed on the children of Frank Zappa?

Answer: Dingo

The fourth Zappa is Dweezil, but his actual name at birth was Ian Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa. His siblings are Diva Muffin Zappa, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan Zappa, and ... Moon Unit Zappa.
4. What is the total number of marriages for all three of the Gabor sisters?

Answer: 20

That's a pretty big number for only three woman, and one of Zsa Zsa's marriages wasn't even legal! Eva once said, "Marriage is too interesting an experiment to be tried only once." Eva was married five times, Magda claims six(and one of Eva's ex's), and Zsa Zsa sports the rest.
5. How tall (in inches) is the world's shortest woman (as at Dec 2002)?

Answer: 25

She weighs 14 1/2 pounds and lives in South Africa. Her name is Madge.
6. Which of the first four Presidents of the United States briefly taught children in a school-like setting?

Answer: John Adams

He taught school briefly (very) and then went into law.
7. Which person from "Rocky Horror Picture Show" denies having participated in its making?

Answer: Rocky

And he's the only one too.
8. In cards, you shuffle a deck seven times because it's supposed to bring the dealer good luck.

Answer: False

You shuffle seven times because after seven the deck is as mixed up as it can possibly get.
9. Why is it ironic that Andrew Jackson is on the twenty dollar bill?

Answer: he tried to get rid of the National Bank

He did try very hard, America's dear King Veto, but he succeeded by transfering the governments money into his "pet banks."
10. During the Gilded Age (around the turn of the 20th century) in America, the meat packing industry would sell meat that had fallen onto the disgustingly dirty floor and slid into an open latrine.

Answer: True

This, and many other revolting facts, were published in a book called "The Jungle" and its publication resulted in the reform of the meat packing industry. It was a very sickening book.
