Plano is the 72nd most populous US city. Garland makes the list at number 90.

There are three in Dallas and three in Houston. A fourth is in construction phase in Dallas.
3. Texas is the largest state.

Answer: False

Texans would never admit it, but it is second, both in population and size. Alaska is the largest.
4. Southfork Ranch is in Dallas.

Answer: False

Southfork Ranch is in Parker, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. It is just east of Plano and north of Garland. If you are in Dallas, go north on US 75 to Parker Rd. and turn east to FM 2551. You'll see it on the southeast corner.
5. The Dallas Cowboys play their home games in Dallas.

Answer: False

The Cowboys played at Texas Stadium, located in Irving, TX, until the end of the 2008 season. They moved to a new stadium in Arlington, TX, in 2009.
6. Texas is the only state to have an interstate highway within the state, that is it does not cross a state line.

Answer: False

There are other states that have intrastate Interstate Highways, as I-97 stays completely within Maryland, and also within Anne Arundel County. Others are I-12, which remains within Louisiana, I-4 completely within Florida, and I-16 within Georgia.

Because of the clause originally put into statehood application, Texas has the capability to separate into 5 states.

In fact, not only does Texas enforce the death penalty, they also have the most inmates executed, as well as nearly the most on Death Row.

Answer: False

Only George W. Bush was governor from 1995-2001, when he became President of the United States.
10. From 1950-2000, the Republican Presidential candidate won Texas' electoral votes.

Answer: False

Only on three occasions in those 13 elections did a Democrat take Texas's electoral votes, John Kennedy in 1960, Lyndon Johnson in 1964, and Jimmy Carter in 1976. Lyndon Johnson was the only one of the three from Texas.
