John Keats (1795-1821) was one of England's greatest Romantic poets. He started to study medicine, then decided to become a poet when his first poem was published in 1816. He died of tuberculosis (called 'consumption' in those days). On his tomb is inscribed "Here lies one whose name was written in water".

He had been there in exile for six years. He died at age 51, having been sick since the previous October.

This source was tapped to a 2-inch wide pipeline which carried gas from the well to the mill, marking the beginning of the natural gas industry in the US.

Davy Crockett was born in a cabin in Tennessee in 1786. He became an American legend known for his Indian fighting and hunting, and died a hero at the Alamo in 1836. He served in both the Tennessee legislature and the US Congress.

The marriage of Caroline of Brunswick to her first cousin George IV was doomed from the start, as they were simply not attracted to one another. George's rude treatment of her served only to make her popular among the British. Due to her unconventional behavior, her husband banned her from the royal court when he became regent in 1811. She died at the age of 53.
