Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Laughing

Answer: :-D

Colon, dash , capital 'D'.

This is a very simple one. The colon represents eyes, the dash is a nose, and the capital 'D' is a laughing mouth.
2. Sticking tongue out

Answer: :-P

Colon, dash, capital 'P'.

A colon for the eyes, a dash for the nose, and a capital 'P' for the tongue sticking out. You could make this one look cheekier by changing the eyes to a semi colon, so it looks as though the person is winking, which would be ;-P
3. Crying

Answer: :*(

Colon, asterisk, left bracket.

For this one, you have a colon for the eyes, followed by an asterisk to represent the tears, and a left bracket to represent an unhappy mouth.
4. Angel

Answer: O :-)

Capital 'O',space, colon, dash, right bracket.

The capital 'O' is the angel's halo, followed by a space and the usual colon (eyes), dash (nose) and right bracket (mouth) for a smiling face.
5. Abraham Lincoln

Answer: =):-)=

'Equals' sign, right bracket, colon, dash, right bracket, 'equals' sign.

This one's a bit more complicated and really does need to be viewed sideways.
The first 'Equals' sign is his stovepipe hat, with a right bracket as the brim. This is followed by the colon (eyes) and dash (nose) and right bracket (mouth), with another 'Equals' sign as his beard.
6. Wearing sunnies

Answer: 8-)

Figure 8, dash, right bracket.

The figure 8 is, of course, the sun glasses covering the eyes, followed by the dash (nose) and right bracket (mouth).
7. Wearing lipstick

Answer: :-{}

Colon, dash, curly brackets.

A colon (eyes), a dash (nose) and curly brackets to make the 'mouth' look big and curvy, as though it has lots of lipstick on it!
8. Wearing a turban

Answer: @:-)

@ sign, colon, dash, right bracket.

The '@" sign represents the turban, followed by the usual eyes, nose and mouth symbols. You could possibly add a beard to this one, if you used a '>', so it would then look like this : @:-)>
9. Kissing

Answer: :-X

Colon, dash, capital 'X'.

A colon (eyes), a dash (nose) and a capital 'X' to look like lips all puckered up for a kiss.
10. Wearing a hat and bow tie

Answer: C) :-) 8

Capital 'C', right bracket, colon, dash, right bracket, space, figure 8

A capital 'C' and a right bracket for the bowler hat, a colon to represent eyes, a dash (nose), a right bracket (mouth), space, and a figure eight to look like the bow tie. He looks a bit like Stan Laurel!
