One of my favorite parts. After leaving off on the first book, you think she really is an evil witch since she threw something at Indigo, knocking him down, blood pouring. But really, it wasn't blood but ink. When she was laughing at Mara for thinking it was blood in the first book, Indigo states that "this is a black and white comic. No one can tell the difference." Selluriah threatens Indigo with showing the readers "real blood" if he didn't watch it.

Answer: Sepia

If you pay attention to what Selluriah is saying, after she turns into the witch using the boots, she says quite clearly "Did you enjoy that Sepia?". It is safe to say that she met this demon before.

Answer: Thyrsos

By saying "Thyrsos" with the glove on your hand, the glove turns into a powerful magical weapon. It sort of looks like a two-headed spear. Mara can barely do magic (even with the boots) without it amplifying her power. However, for the first couple books, Mara can't say Thrysos and it comes out "Tomato sauce!".

Answer: Scientists

They use advanced science that makes it appear as if they can do supreme magic to all the lesser citizens of Oz, but the only one who can do such magic is the Wizard of Oz himself. Plus, we haven't met all the witches yet and therefore we cannot determine if all the witches are girls yet.

Answer: The Wizard of Oz defeated all four witches at once

After the Wizard of Oz lost Thrysos, his weapon, all the witches saw it as a moment of weakness and all opened attack at once. However, the Wizard of Oz was no scientist. He was a real magic user! He easily took care of all the witches. It was then that Selluriah realized that she truly wasn't magical, just because she could use science in an age of medieval style warfare did not make her all powerful. For that, she dropped the title of Witch of the East.

Answer: She forgot how to make them

Mara was impressed on how the boots worked and more impressed to learn they were invented by science. So why doesn't Selluriah make more boots and create an indestructible army? She forgot how she made them!

Answer: Toto

Selluriah was walking over, trying to pet him when she noticed how on-edge he was. At first, she thought he didn't like her, but quickly caught on that it was because enemy clones were behind her, waiting to attack.

Answer: Himself

Indigo was dying from the wounds he sustained from the clones. His only thought was that if he died, might as well take as many of them as possible. Indigo self-destructed, taking the enemies and his special suit with him.

Answer: Selluriah's shirt

Before Mara left the city, she took Selluriah's bag. Later, she was cold, hungry, and lost in the woods. She decides to go through the bag to see what she could find. After seeing Selluriah's shirt, the one she always wore, she broke down. Mara put on the shirt afterward, complaining of the cold. She wears it for the rest of the books.

Answer: Dorothy

The prophesy was that Dorothy would come and lead the citizens of Oz down the yellow brick road. She was so used to being called Dorothy by Selluriah and the rest of the citizens of Sapphire City that she accidentally said it to Abee.
