Answer: Ug and Zog

Mort: "Did you get past Ug and Zog? A lot of people would be very interested to know what's there."

Ysabel: "I got frightened. It's a long way and I didn't have enough candles."

She never went back that far again.

2. In Princess Keli's biography, her assassination led to the union of what two cities?

Answer: Sto Helit and Sto Lat

Keli was the daughter of the king of Sto Lat. She became queen when his cousin, the Duke of Sto Helit, arranged for his assassination. She was next on the list but Mort killed the assassin instead of collecting Keli. When he returned home he looked at her biography and it showed the future including her assassination.

3. What does Death tell Mort is "THE COMPASSION PROPER TO YOUR TRADE"?

Answer: A sharp edge

He says this after they have collected the King of Sto Lat and Mort tried to stop the assassination. Mort feared he would be dismissed. Death says, "BECAUSE YOU SHOWED COMPASSION? NO. I MIGHT HAVE DONE IF YOU SHOWED PLEASURE." This explains a lot about Death. He's just an anthropomorphic personfication doing his job.

4. According to Death, "THERE'S NO JUSTICE, ONLY _______."

Answer: ME

This is an often used phrase in the books in which Death appears. Even Mort uses it when talking to Albert.

Answer: Kelirehanna

At Mort and Ysabel's wedding she is introduced as "Her Supreme Majesty, Queen Kelirehenna I, Lord of Sto Lat, Protctor of the Eight Protectorates and Empress of the Long Thin Debated Piece Hubwards of Sto Kerrig".

Susan is their daughter. Kelikalikimaka is my own made-up name based on the Hawaiian "Mele Kalikimaka" (Merry Christmas).

'Reaper Man' is the title of the eleventh Discworld book.

7. What is Albert's claim to fame at Unseen University?

Answer: Founder

He founded UU two thousand years prior to the book's present. He reached an agreement with Death to be his servant rather than die. Time does not pass in Death's domain. He only loses time on the rare occasions he goes back into the real world. When Mort confronts him about his identity, Albert has ninety-one days, three hours and five minutes of life left.

8. When Albert returns to Unseen University, who are the first two people to whom he talks?

Answer: Rincewind and The Librarian

All the other wizards fled. Rincewind's robes were caught in the door, and the Librarian, being an ape, had a relaxed attitude towards human affairs.

9. Who was Mort's first appointment as Death?

Answer: Goodie Hamstring

All are Lancre witches, but it is Goodie Hamstring who leaves a bundle of hay "for thee hors" and has a bottle of raspberry port to share with Death. But she gets Mort and has to help him learn what he's supposed to do. After she died her soul momentarily assumed a bodily form much more alluring than the elderly lady he met upon arrival.

10. How many times has Abbott Lobsang died?

Answer: 53

Or 54, he isn't sure. He has a "season ticket", but doesn't explain how he got it.
