Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many teams passed the Second Exam of the Chūnin Exams?

Answer: Seven teams

In the Second Exam of the Chūnin Exams, there were entered twenty-six teams (seventy-eight participants). Out of those twenty-six teams, only seven teams (twenty-one participants) passed the exam.

There was one team from the Hidden Sound village (Sound Trio), one team from the Hidden Sand village (Sand Siblings) and five teams from the Hidden Leaf village (Team 07, Team 08, Team 10, Team Guy and Kabuto's team).
2. What is the true meaning of the Chūnin Exams?

Answer: Replacement for a war

The Chūnin Exams serve to rise the level of Ninjas in the Hidden villages and also to maintain the friendship between the countries.

But the true meaning of it is a replacement for a war, because all the countries, along with their own Hidden village, were enemies in the past wars.
3. Who was meant to be the proctor for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams?

Answer: Hayate Gekkō

Hayaye, some time after the end of the Second Exam of the Chūnin Exams and the preliminaries for the Third Exam, was murdered by Baki.

Hayate was a Ninja from the Land of Fire, from the Hidden Leaf village. He graduated from the Ninja Academy and became a Genin (Low Ninja) at age of twelve and was promoted to a Chūnin (Middle Ninja) a year later, at age of thirteen.

Later on, he became a Tokubetsu Jōnin (Special High Ninja) and worked as an examiner at the Chūnin Exams.
4. Did Sasuke fight against Misumi Tsurugi in the first match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams?

Answer: No

Actually, Sasuke fought against Misumi's teammate Yoroi Akadō. As Kabuto, both of them were spies for Orochimaru. It's unknown what happened to them after the Chūnin Exams.

Misumi had the ability to soften his body with his Chakra, by using the Nan no Kaizō (Soft Physique Modification) technique. Afterwards, he could stretch and twist any part of his body at any angle.
5. What was Yoroi's special ability?

Answer: Absorbing Chakra

Yoroi, like Misumi, had an unique ability. By simply touching his opponents, he could absorb their Chakra and use it for performing his own techniques.

Interesting fact about Yoroi and his teammate's names. Each of them represents one part of a Samurai's equipment - Kabuto (Helmet), Yoroi (Armour) and Tsurugi (Sword).
6. Between which two participants was the second match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams?

Answer: Zaku Abumi VS Shino Aburame

Besides the fact that both of Zaku's arms were all right after Sasuke crushed them during the Second Exam of the Chūnin Exams, he still lost to Shino.

During the match a third of Zaku's right arm was blown off. That was due to Shino blocking the openings of the tubes on both of Zaku's arms with his Parasitic Destruction Insects. The energy that was supposed to come out of the tube's openings had nowhere to go and exploded, thus detaching part of his right arm, and leaving his left arm greatly injured.
7. When do the members of the Aburame Clan give their body to insects, to use as a nest?

Answer: At birth

At birth, members of the Aburame Clan are offered to a special breed of insect as a nest. The insects are called Kikaichū (Parasitic Destruction Insects). The Kikaichū live in symbiosis with their masters - the insects are let to feed on their master's Chakra, and in return the they can be used in combat.

There is another type of insect used by the members of this Clan - the Kidaichū (Parasitic Giant Insects). Actually they are the same as the Kikaichū, but if they are fed with the incorrect amount of Chakra they can grow enormous within seconds and can eat through flesh.

Also, there is another special type of insect used just by a few members of the Clan - the Nanosaizu no Dokumushi (Nano-Sized Venomous Insects). These insects can literally destroy the cells of their victims and case a lot of pain during it.

The Aburame Clan is one of the four noble clans of the Hidden Leaf village.
8. The third match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams was between Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka.

Answer: False

Actually, the third match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams was between Kankurō and Misumi Tsurugi.

Kankurō won the match quickly, by fooling Misumi into thinking that he had restrained Kankurō with his Soft Physique Modification technique, when in reality it was Karasu (Crow), Kankurō's puppet, which Kankurō had disguised as himself and switched places with. Kankurō just used Karasu to turn back on Misumi and crush his bones, thus winning the match.
9. Between which two former best friends was the fourth match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chunin Exams?

Answer: Sakura Haruno VS Ino Yamanaka

The fourth match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam of the Chūnin Exams was the longest one of all the matches. Hayate, the proctor, mentioned that the match was going on for over ten minutes, and it still didn't end there.

Sakura and Ino were best friends during their first years in the Ninja Academy. But when both learned that each of them had a crush on Sasuke, they decided to brake up their friendship.
10. During the preliminary matches, who said this: "I'll make "I give up" come out of your mouth!"?

Answer: Ino Yamanaka

During the fourth match of the preliminaries for the Third Exam, of the Chūnin Exams, Ino used the Shintenshin no Jutsu (Mind Body Switch technique) to possess Sakura's mind and force her to say "I give up", or simply said, to forfeit the match.

Shintenshin no Jutsu is a C-Rank technique only used by the Yamanaka Clan, making it a Hidden technique.

When this technique is used, and the user possesses the opponent's mind and body, their own body becomes completely defenceless, because there is no one to control it - the Shintenshin no Jutsu transfers the user's whole consciousness into the opponent. Also, if the victim of this technique is harmed so is the user.

But, actually, the technique originally was used for gathering intelligence and not in a battle.
