Yanus is holder, Mavi is his wife, Alemi their song, Elgion the seahold's new harper.

Harper Petiron, Menolly's mentor and Masterhaper Robinton's own father, practically banished himself to the small seahold.

Answer: She 'leaned' on the men with her mind.

Lessa used mind to 'lean' or telepathically suggest emotions and thoughts on the two men. Which provoked them into anger and eventually a duel. Lessa needed F'lar to fight Fax to the death so she could reclaim her birthright as the only surviving member of the original Ruathan bloodline before Fax had her family slaughtered.

Yes, weird though it may seem. Moreta's gold Orlith was on the Hatching Sands so Moreta rode the older gold, Leri's Holth, back and forth through time to deliver the plauge vaccines to save Pern. In the end, those who wrote stories and songs about "Moreta's Ride" left her on her own Orlith.

Actually, it came from the Oort cloud in the system. The Red Star, or planet, dragged the organisms past Pern as it rotated on its erratic orbit.
