Question 1 of 10
1. You pop out of the book and see an armored man standing in your path. Behind him looms a mighty tower. He is bareheaded, showing off his serious eyes and well-developed mustache, and holds a rose encrusted sword in his hand. He bows to you solemnly and says, "You are trapped in the Greybook. You must answer ten questions correctly or remain here forever. Here is your first question. I am a Solamnic Knight who fought Kitiara uth Matar and her blue dragon atop the High Clerist Tower you see behind me. I was slain, and forever memorialized as a hero. Who am I?" Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. You pop out of the book and see before you a black-robed male with golden skin, and eyes like hourglasses. Behind him lies a portal, ringed by five stone dragons that look onto a red, barren landscape. He gives you a mocking smile and says, "I see another fool has been caught in the web. Here is your second question. I am a wizard who once made a bargain with an ancient wizard named Fistandatalus, who taught me magic powerful enough to challenge the very gods themselves. I slew Fistandantilus and entered the portal behind me to do battle with Takhisis, Queen of Darkness. Who am I?" Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. You pop out of the book and see a somber man before you. You can't tell how old he is, and his eyes are cold. Behind him lies a grand looking building. He stares at you, piercing your soul, and says, "You are not the first person to fall into this trap. I have recorded their names in one of my chronicles. I am an immortal historian, who puts to paper important events of the present and the future. My home is the Great Library of Palanthas you see behind me. Who am I?" Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. The book spits you out, and you see a knight dressed in fire-blackened armor before you. Behind him looms a floating mountain. The knight has glowing red eyes, and the only decoration on his ruined armor is a black rose. He stares at you and you begin to quake. He begins to talk but you see no mouth. "I am a former Solamnic Knight who defied my order for love of an elven woman. I had the opportunity to stop the cataclysm, but did not, and the mountain you see above was slammed into Istar by the gods. For this, I was forever damned to live for eternity as a death knight. Who am I?" Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. You pop out of the book and see a Dwarf dressed in fine clothing. In his hand he holds a grey gem. He doffs his fancy hat, bows, and says, "I see another person has become trapped in the book created by the Greygem. I will first give you a hint on how you can escape this trap. The correct answer is not what you think it is; it's what the questioner thinks it is. You don't think that helps? Wanna bet? Here is your question. When I travel the world, I call myself Dougan Redhammer, but I am actually a god. I built this world and many other wondrous things. The most wondrous is this item in my hand. It has a spark of chaos in it and causes trouble wherever it goes. Who am I?" Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. You pop out of the book and see a man surrounded by a blinding light in front of you. Behind him is a simple, bare monastery. You can't see what the man looks like because of the light, but you do see a gem encrusted crown atop his brow. He forms a triangle with his hands and says, "Welcome traveler. I am called many different names; Lightbringer, the true Kingpriest, Paldine's Chosen. To most I am known as the bringer of the cataclysm. I had the arrogance to command the gods and had a mountain dropped on me. What is my name?" Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. You pop out of the book and see before you a white-robed man with a staff in his right hand and a spell book in his left. Behind him stands a Solamnic Knight. The staff in the man's hand has atop it a dragon's claw grasping a gem. He smiles at you and says, "I see the Greybook has yet to be destroyed. I am a white wizard who fought beside Huma Dragonbane, the man behind me, when he defeated Takhisis and her minions and set them back to the Abyss. Who am I?" Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. You pop out of the book and cower as you see before you a mighty green dragon. Behind it lies a dark land where the very trees bleed. The dragon bares its fangs and says, "Be at peace, creature. I cannot harm you. I am the dragon who tricked King Lorac into turning his elvish homeland of Silvanesti into an evil wasteland. I am the dragon who served as the mount of the great Raistlin shortly after he sent Takhisis back to the Abyss. Who am I?" Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. You pop out of the book and see in your path a young man who bears a striking resemblance to Sturm Brightblade. He wears black armor encrusted with a lily. He nods to you and says, "I am the son of Sturm Brightblade and Kitiara uth Matar. I was filled with conflicting emotions, with the righteousness of my father and the ambition of my mother. Appropriately, I died beside Solamnic Knights fighting the Father of All and Nothing. I lie buried beside Tanis, my father's best friend who died defending me. Who am I?" Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. You pop out of the book and see a little Kender in front of you. He smiles excitedly and says, "Did you just come out of the book? Hi, I'm Turfoot Basselhoff...wait switch that, reverse it...I'm Tasslehoff Burrfoot. I guess I have to ask you a question. Oh, is that your watch? You should be more careful. I have a powerful Kender Spoon of Turning given to me by someone to defeat undead creatures. Who gave me the spoon?" Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Who am I?"

Answer: Sturm Brightblade

He looks at you mournfully and nods his head slowly. "You are correct. I am Sturm Brightblade. I had dedicated my life to becoming a Solamnic Knight, an order renowned for its battle with evil. I may have died, but it gave my friends enough time to activate a dragon orb and slay the dragons sent against them.

This tale is chronicled in 'Dragons of Winter Knight' by two of Astinus's disciples, Margert Weis and Tracy Hickman. Kitiara was the sister of two of my traveling companions and the lover of a third.

She was also the mother of my son, whom I did not even know existed. It is time for your next question." The book opens at your feet and you are once again sucked within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Raistlin Majere

Raistlin's golden eyes glisten as he says, "You are correct. Perhaps you are not the fool I thought you were. I am indeed Raistlin Majere, the man who has sacrificed everything for magic. I have forsaken my twin brother. I have manipulated, murdered, and lost my humanity. I did this all for the sake of magic.

As I entered the portal to challenge Takhisis in her realm, I was warned by my twin that to defeat her would lead to the destruction of the world. I decided to remain and prevent Takhisis from leaving her realm. With this selfless act, I regained my humanity.

This is all chronicled in Weis's 'Time of the Twins', 'War of the Twins', and 'Test of the Twins'. It is time for your next question." The book opens at your feet and you are sucked within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Astinus

Astinus stares long and hard at you and says, "You are correct. I am Astinus the Undying. I have seen the birth of this world, the Kinslayer War, the rise and fall of Istar, the War of the Lance, and I will survive to see the end of this world as well. I was given my immortality by the god Gilean, who admired my work in documenting the history of this world. I hope that I do not have to write down your name as another casualty of the Greybook.

It is time for you to go." The book opens at your feet and sucks you within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Lord Soth

The death knight nods his head and says, "I am Lord Soth, Knight of the Black Rose. After defying my order, my knights and I were put under siege in Daargard Keep. I was given the opportunity to save thousands of lives by getting to the Kingpriest of Istar before he had the arrogance to command the gods.

While on the road, I was intercepted by supporters of the Kingpreist and informed that my wife had been unfaithful. I immediately forsook my quest, and returned to my keep. The Kingpreist was not stopped, and the gods dropped a mountain upon Istar, slaying thousands.

As my keep caught fire and my wife burned before my eyes, she called down a curse that forever damned me. I was then transformed into what I am today. It is time for you to go." The book opens at your feet and you are sucked within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Reorx

The god bows again and says, "I hope you escape the trap. The gem created this book to trap Kender, who are somehow immune to its powers. It plays to their insatiable curiosity. I am Reorx, and I regret ever making this gem. It was supposed to be a tool of order, but it has somehow become the exact opposite.

It contained the essence of the Father of All and Nothing, the father of all gods. When he was freed, he declared war on his children whom he thought had imprisoned him. The gods of good, neutrality, and evil united and defeated their father.

This story is chronicled in the Weis/Hickman collaboration 'Dragons of Summer Flame'. Goodbye and good luck." The book opens and sucks you in.
What is my name?"

Answer: Beldinas

The Kingpriest nods his head solemnly and says, "I know few believe it, but I grew up here. It was only after I moved into the big city and was crowned Kingpriest that I became arrogant and paranoid. My rise and fall is chronicled in the three Christopher Pierson books; 'Chosen of the Gods', 'Divine Hammer', and 'Sacred Fire'. Your time is done here. Paladine be with you." A familiar feeling goes through you as the gray book opens at your feet and sucks you within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Magius

The wizard says, "Yes, I am Magius. Although the mage-fearing Solamnic Knights have suppressed this story, the truth is that I faithfully fought beside Huma in his war against evil. I was slain by the evil forces when my spells ran out and I couldn't defend myself, for mages were forbidden to carry any weapons. From that day, mages were henceforth permitted to carry on their person one small-bladed weapon.

It is time for you to go." The book opens at your feet and sucks you within.
Who am I?"

Answer: Cyan Bloodbane

The dragon hisses, "You are correct. Behind me lies the land of Silvanesti, doomed to be a place where no creature of good can possibly live. When Lorac's mind was dominated by a dragon orb, I came to him and whispered into his feverish mind the horrible things that would be done to his daughter. Goodbye flesh bag." The book opens at your feet and sucks you in.
Who am I?"

Answer: Steel Brightblade

The knight nods his head as he says, "You are correct. I am indeed Steel Brightblade. Although slain in the great battle, I managed to wound the Father of All and Nothing and he bled a single drop of blood. I wish you luck." Steel salutes you as the book opens at your feet and you are sucked within.
Who gave me the spoon?"

Answer: Uncle Trapspringer

The Kender jumps up and down and shouts, "You're right. My Uncle Trapspringer gave it to me, though I do remember that my pal Dalamar had a set of the same spoons. Trapspringer is not really my Uncle. He's my mother's cousin's hairdresser's sister's..." The little Kender starts to trail off as the book opens at your feet and sucks you within. You pop out and see that you have been returned to your original location.

As you are about to take the book and bury it, you realize that it wouldn't be such a bad thing if Kender got trapped inside, so you leave it right where it is.
