"Sucker Punch" is a 2011 action film starring Emily Browning as Babydoll. Babydoll is institutionalized at the courtesy of her stepfather (Gerard Plunkett). The stepfather wants Babydoll lobotomized so he can continue to hide the true circumstances of her sister's death, for which Babydoll has taken the blame. Babydoll plans her escape from the asylum.

She starts seeing things and believes she fell into a fantasy world where she meets Jon Hamm's the High Roller. The High Roller is a wealthy man who bids on young women like Babydoll for his own personal use.

"Howl" is a 2010 biographical film about beat poet Allen Ginsberg played by James Franco. Jon Hamm plays the real life Jake Ehrlich, Ginsberg's attorney. Many of Ginsberg's literary works were considered controversial and obscene during the 1950s. Ehrlich was the attorney who defended the works, most notably "Howl" in court.

In real life, Ehrlich was also the model for the fictional lawyer/detective Perry Mason.
