Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In what movie do we hear these words: "What do I want to be when I grow up? Alive." Little did Karen and Brian Powell know that they would be parents to a grown up 10 year old boy. Their little boy had a unique aging disorder in what movie?

Answer: Jack

When Jack's teacher was asking the students what they wanted to be when they grew up, Jack couldn't help but respond with this answer. Jack was aging four years for every one year of his life. He knew that when he graduated school at 18, that his body would be 72.
2. In what movie do we hear Daniel Hillard say, "My first day as a woman and I am already having hot flashes"?

Answer: Mrs. Doubtfire

Daniel and Miranda Hillard were going through a divorce and Daniel wanted to spend more time with his children. He decided to become a new "woman" and became Mrs. Doubtfire, the nanny to the children. His first day on the job he was fixing dinner and his upper half got a little too close to the flames and he was set on fire.

This is the scene that sparked (get the pun?) the comment, "having hot flashes..."
3. Adrian Cronauer loved talking on the radio. He loved nothing more than making the troops happy. What movie can you hear this lingo? "Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause of the leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P."

Answer: Good Morning Vietnam

Lt. Steven Hauk and Adrian Cronauer were discussing the upcoming press conference with Vice President Nixon. Let's see - V.P. - Vice President; V.I.P. - Very important person; M.I.A. - Missing in action. K.P. - Kitchen patrol? Okay, so I'm lost after that.

Robin Williams picked up an Oscar nomination for his role of Adrian Cronauer in this movie. I loved the "Goooood Morning Vietnam!"
4. "Hello. My name is Leonard Lowe. It has been explained to me that I've been away for a long time. I'm back." Robert DeNiro said this statement in what movie?

Answer: Awakenings

Robin Williams played Dr. Malcolm Sayer in the movie "Awakenings" in 1990. Dr. Sayer thought he could awaken a select group of people from their "coma-type" states. His first victim was Leonard, played beautifully by Robert DeNiro. Dr. Sayer was trying to get more funds for the medication, so a film was made with Leonard, showing how the patients could "come back to life." Both DeNiro and Williams deserved an Oscar for their performances, however only DeNiro was nominated.
5. Armand was very protective of his partner, Albert. When Armand asked Agador, "What the hell are Pirin tablets?" Agador came back with, "It's aspirin with the "A" and the "S" scraped off." In what movie can you hear these lines?

Answer: The Birdcage

Robin Williams and Nathan Lane team up as lovers in this outrageous adventurous film. Nathan's character is a little "high strung" at times and he needs to mellow down about three or four notches. Agador gives him Pirin tablets, to help calm him down.
6. "Rule Number Three: I can't bring people back from the dead. It's not a pretty picture, and I don't like doing it." In what movie can you hear these words?

Answer: Aladdin

Robin Williams played the Blue Genie in the first and third "Aladdin" movies. After Ali found the lamp, the Genie popped out and gave him the "rules regarding his three wishes..." Ali only needed two wishes and freed the Genie with his last wish. What a guy!
7. In what cute children's movie do you hear Peter say this? "He really did lose his marbles, didn't he?"

Answer: Hook

Everyone thought that Tootles had really lost his marbles, brains wise, but came to find out he didn't. He really lost a bag of marbles in Neverland!
8. Everyone wanted to know what his initials, T.S., stood for. He told Helen it stood for "Terribly Sexy, but it used to be Terribly Shy." He told the babysitter that it stood for "Terribly Sad." Can you name the movie where you hear T.S. reciting this conversation?

Answer: The World According to Garp

T.S. Garp was one of many nuts in this cute but strange movie. Glenn Close played his single mother, Jenny Fields. John Lithgow played the cross dressed Roberta Muldoon also. Both Close and Lithgow were nominated for Oscars for their supporting roles. Each deserved the Oscar, but failed to pick one up. If you're ready for an evening of unique experiences, make sure that you rent this film. We never did find out what T.S. stood for. I think it was Totally Sane!
9. In what movie can you hear Dr. Kosevich say, "You have a girl. Unless I cut the wrong cord."?

Answer: Nine Months

Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore are having their first baby and unfortunately the wacky Dr. Kosevich is performing the duties of the OB GYN. Oh my gosh, they are in trouble! The only thing Dr. Kosevich is good at delivering is his jokes. Robin Williams plays the role of the wacky doctor in this movie.
10. What actor delivered this line in this movie directed by Peter Weir? "O Captain, my Captain. Who knows where that comes from? Anybody? Not a clue? It's from a poem by Walt Whitman about Mr. Abraham Lincoln. Now in this class you can either call me Mr. Keating, or if you're slightly more daring, O Captain my Captain."

Answer: Robin Williams

Robin Williams played the role of John Keating in the movie "Dead Poets Society". He was nominated, but failed to win the Oscar for his role also. Robin has come a long way since the days of "Mork and Mindy". He was nominated for his first Oscar in "Good Morning, Vietnam" and finally picked up the golden guy for his supporting role in "Good Will Hunting". Take what you can get, right Robin? If you didn't notice, all the lines above are from Williams movies also.

Thanks for playing and have a terrific day!
