In "The Wedding Date" (2005), Kat Ellis (Debra Messing) is nervous about seeing her ex-fiance at her sister's wedding in England. Since she doesn't have a steady, Kat hires an escort (Dermot Mulroney) to act as her boyfriend for the trip. "Breathless" is a catchy tune by the Irish group, The Corrs.

As Miss Inch leads the two girls to the cabin, the rest of the campers fall in behind them whistling the march. "Colonel Bogey March" was also used in "The Breakfast Club" and "Spaceballs". The march was written by Major Frederick Ricketts in 1914, under the alias Kenneth Alford.

Shortly after arriving at Miramar, Maverick and Goose are at the Officer's Club when Maverick notices a woman he'd like to meet in order to win a bet with Goose. They sing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" to her as an opener, but Maverick doesn't impress Charlie much that night.

At the end of the movie, Maverick returns to Miramar as an instructor. While sitting in a diner, he hears the song start playing on the jukebox, and soon finds out that Charlie is there. Elvis Presley, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick and Erasure are among those who have covered "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'". Hall and Oates' version reached number 12 on the US charts in 1980.

The song was a number one hit for The Righteous Brothers in 1964.

When Willie (Timothy Hutton) returns to his hometown for his ten-year high school reunion, he finds that not much has changed in the lives of his friends. One night he's with Mo, Tommy, Kev and Paul (Noah Emmerich, Matt Dillon, Max Perlich and Michael Rapaport) at Stinky's bar, when Stinky's cousin Andera walks in.

After finding out that Willie plays the piano, Andera asks him to play something. Kev makes a suggestion to Willie and the two start singing "Sweet Caroline". Eventually everyone else joins in. "Beautiful Girls" (1996) also stars Mira Sorvino, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman.
