Brilliant poetry it's not, but let's hope that revelation sticks."

It's the place you feel like you belong, where you are most alive, where you have a reason to be and everything else doesn't matter." This is a quote by Kenny Chesney to GAC after releasing his "Road and the Radio" album. "Freedom" is the eighth song on Kenny's "Road and the Radio" album which debuted on November 8, 2005.

It is the sixth track on "Poets and Pirates". Kenny is quoted as saying this about the song: "I'm not saying it's never happened to me ... but I know I'm not alone here! When I think about the fans and all the shenanigans that go on during the evening... sometimes you just go out to have a little fun, one thing leads to another, and then - there you are! We've ALL been in a strange place the next morning, making a new friend all over again in the daylight. I'm just glad it can happen at our shows or listening to our music.

These are the stories we live our lives by, laughing and marveling at the craziness of it all." Source: BNA Records - 2007
