Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these four Kellys wasn't born in Spain?

Answer: Maite

Despite having a Basque name, Maite was born in Berlin.
2. It's often stated that "Who'll Come With Me (David's Song)" reached number one in the Dutch charts, but that's not true. Who kept The Kelly Family from the number one spot?

Answer: ABBA - "I have a Dream"

Well, there's no need to be ashamed if you're beaten by one of the most famous bands of all time.
3. Most Kellys are born in the autumn or winter. Which Kelly is the only one to be born in the springtime?

Answer: Barby

Barby's birthday is 28 April, Kathy - 6 March, John - 8 March, Patricia - 25 November.
(And remember, spring starts on 21 March, not the first day of March.)
4. Which of the following famous songs has never been covered by The Kelly Family on their studio albums?

Answer: Imagine

"Let it Be" and "The Rose" are included on the album "New World" and "A Hard Day's Night" is included on the album "Honest Workers". However, "Imagine" was a new Kelly song that hasn't got anything to do with the famous song from John Lennon.
5. The Kelly Family recorded their album "La Patata" partly in a studio in Nice, France. Which famous rock album was recorded there too?

Answer: Pink Floyd - "The Wall"

When you're watching the DVD "The making of 'La Patata'", at the end you can see some sleeves of albums recorded in this studio, one of them being "The Wall".
6. Which song is not included on both Christmas-albums?

Answer: Peces

The other three tracks are all on both Christmas albums. In fact, on the version of "Jingle Bells" on "Christmas For All", you also hear a sample of "Christmas All Year".
7. Which famous drummer gave drum lessons to Angelo?

Answer: Billy Cobham

They also made a DVD together: "Call and Response".
8. Which song was never released as a single?

Answer: She's Crazy

I was very surprised about that. I read an article about The Kelly Family making a video clip for this song, so I expected it to be a single. But then I found out that it had already been the B-side to "Why Why Why"

And if you're wondering about "Hooks", it was a double A-side with "Oh, it Hurts"
9. Which was the last album to be recorded by the "classic" line-up? (Nine Kellys.)

Answer: From Their Hearts

"From Their Hearts" is my personal favourite, but strangely it was a little less successful in terms of sales than previous albums. It 'only' reached number three in Germany, and number seventeen in The Netherlands.
10. One sibling of The Kelly Family returned for the "Good News" tour, although he already made a guest appearance on the album "Homerun". Who was it?

Answer: Paul

He is credited on the album sleeve as Paul O'Ceallaigh.
