1. Architecture

Answer: Pritzker Prize

The Pritzker Prize has been given annually to an outstanding architect beginning in 1979. The first 38 winners came from 19 different countries, with six of those 38 winners coming from Japan.
2. Mathematics

Answer: Fields Medal

The Fields Medal has been given out every four years (except during World War Two) since 1936, for outstanding work by a mathematician under the age of 40. The first 19 winners came from 18 different countries.
3. Children's literature

Answer: Newbery Medal

The Newbery Medal is the oldest children's book award in the world, having been given out annually since 1922. It is named for 18th-century English book publisher John Newbery.
4. Advertising

Answer: Clio Awards

The Clio Awards were first given out in 1960 for excellence in TV advertising. Since then they have been expanded to include numerous categories in both broadcasting and print mediums.
5. Computer science

Answer: Turing Award

The Turing Award, known as "the Nobel Prize of computing", has been given out annually since 1966. It is named after famed mathematician Alan Turing.
6. Microbiology

Answer: Leeuwenhoek Medal

This award is unique among the awards highlighted in this quiz in that it is given out only once every ten years. It is named after Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723), who is known as "the father of microbiology". Although it is awarded by a Dutch science organization, only one of the first fourteen winners has been from the Netherlands.
7. Science fiction poetry

Answer: Rhysling Award

This award is named for the blind poet Rhysling, a character in Robert Heinlein's short story "The Green Hills of Earth". It has been awarded annually since 1978.

Answer: Linguapax Prize

The Linguapax Prize has been awarded annually since 2002. It is given out to foster "the preservation of linguistic diversity, revitalization and reactivation of linguistic communities and the promotion of multilingualism".
9. Yachting

Answer: America's Cup

The America's Cup was first given out in 1851 to a United States yachting team. The U.S. proceeded to defeat 25 straight challengers, until in 1987 an Australian team finally captured the Cup. A New Zealand team won in 2000 and 2003, and a Swiss team prevailed in 2007 and 2010.
10. Cartoonist

Answer: Reuben Award

The National Cartoonists Society has given out the Reuben Award annually since 1954. Repeat winners have included Charles Schulz for "Peanuts", Dik Browne for "Hägar the Horrible", Chester Gould for "Dick Tracy", Jeff MacNelly for "Shoe", Bill Watterson for "Calvin and Hobbes", and Gary Larson for "The Far Side".
