Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Even by reading the words to be inserted into the blanks, one can see that Proverbs 1 is concerned with the importance of gaining knowledge and wisdom, and understanding how these gifts should be used. The theme is expanded upon in the verses 11-33, which follow those quoted here.

Young folk reading or listening to the words of the proverb are encouraged to embrace knowledge and listen to wise folk when they speak, in order to obtain some of their wisdom and learn to impart it to others. An important point is to avoid the evil ways of sinners, who would lead the young person astray and scoff at wisdom and the fear of the Lord.

The final verses (32-33) of this proverb, with "me" being the Lord, read:

"For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil."
