Answer: Babe Ruth

Ruth hit his 500th big one in 1929 with the Yankees. Just two seasons later, he reached the 600 plateau. 3 seasons later, he reached the 700 peak.
2. In 1953 the St. Louis Browns became the _______ ?

Answer: Baltimore Orioles

The Browns existed from 1902-1953, until moving to Baltimore to become the Orioles. Jimmy Dykes managed the new Orioles to a 54-100 record in the American League in 1954.
3. Which of the following managers has more career victories?

Answer: Bill Rigney

Rigney is the only one listed to have over 1000. In fact, he has in the neighborhood of 500 more victories than the other listed. Rigney retired with 1239 wins, by managing the Giants, Angels, and Twins.
4. Which of the following teams was the first to lose 6 World Series?

Answer: New York Giants

The Giants had a powerhouse in their roster, with the likes of Fred Merkle, Fred Snodgrass, and Christy Mathewson. In 1905, the Giants made their first appearance to the Big Top, and beat the Athletics 4 games to 1. However, their luck ran out by losing 3 consecutive Series in 1911, 1912, and 1913. Then again they lost in 1917, 1923, and 1924.

Galvin made it to the Hall 63 years after he died in 1902. He pitched for 15 years, and experienced his greatest year in 1884, when he went 46-22 for the Buffalo Bisons of the National League.
10. Who was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award 3 times?

Answer: Sandy Koufax

Koufax was the first to win it twice, and the first to win it three times. His stellar season winners were 1963, 1965, and 1966. His last award was his last season in baseball.
