Answer: San Francisco Giants

The other teams listed, had their name throughout their entire franchise. The New York Gothams began the franchise in 1883, and changed the name to the Giants in 1884. From the New York Giants in 1885, to the San Francisco Giants in 1958, the team had always been a contender. The franchise won their 20th National League title in 2002.
