Answer: Randy Johnson

The others were American League pitchers. Johnson who turned 40 years old on Sept. 10, hit his first four-bagger in his career. Entering the 2003 season, Randy struggled with a .124 batting average, and never had more than 13 hits in a season.
2. Who led the 2002 St.Louis Cardinals in home runs for the season?

Answer: Albert Pujols

The others were Cardinals, but had retired many seasons prior. Pujols smacked 34 home runs in his 2nd season of baseball. In 2001, he won the National League Rookie of the Year Award, and in 2002 was the MVP runner-up to Giant Barry Bonds.
3. 2003 Arizona Diamondback Curt Schilling, began his Major League career with what team?

Answer: Baltimore Orioles

Schilling began as an Oriole in 1988. He only appeared in 4 games in his first season. In his 4th season, he found himself in an Astro uniform in 1991. After only 1 season in Houston, he found home in Philadelphia for 9 seasons before moving to Arizona in 2000.

No player in the 20th century even reached the 200 RBI mark. Hack Wilson set a record in 1930 with 191. Lou Gehrig hit 184 in 1931. The Babe's highest RBI mark was in 1921, when he had 171 RBI's along with 59 home runs with the Yankees.

Answer: Joe DiMaggio

The others listed won at least 4 Cy Young Awards. DiMaggio was the only player listed who was not a pitcher. If Joltin' Joe had pitched in his career, then he probably would have won that too. DiMaggio won 3 season MVP Awards, led the league in batting, slugging pct., home runs, and RBI's twice in his career.
