1. The Grecians

Answer: Exeter City

Exeter City, from the county of Devon, were formed in 1904. The club has no connection with the nation of Greece, so the Grecians nickname is a bit of a mystery, with numerous theories to its origin. They joined the Football League in 1920 as a foundation member of the Third Division (South).
