Whilst on loan from Queens Park Rangers, Mark made six appearances for the club in 1996. He did not manage to score during his time with the club though.

Peter Lorimer made his debut for Leeds United on 29th September 1962. He went on to become a legend of the club, scoring 238 goals in his two spells at the club as a player.

The takeoff was aborted but the plane overshot the runway, and on landing, the nose landing gear collapsed. Fortunately, everyone managed to escape from the plane without any major injuries.

This game set an attendance record for a home game at Elland Road. It was the first of two replays required to decide which of the teams would progress in that year's FA Cup. The original tie held at Roker Park on 11th March 1967 ended 1-1, a similar score for the game held on the 15th March at Elland Road. Finally, on 20th March Leeds United managed to win the tie 2-1 at Roker Park.

Answer: Arthur Fairclough

Arthur Fairclough was appointed the first Manager of the club on 26th February 1920. He resigned as manager after the team suffered relegation in season 1926-27. Dick Ray was the first manager of the club after its formation in 1919, in charge of the club's campaign in the Midland League.

He became assistant manager when Fairclough took over. He left the club in 1922, but came back as manager following the resignation of Fairclough.

Answer: The Peacocks

The nickname of 'The Peacocks' comes from the old name for the Elland Road home ground, Old Peacock Ground which in turn had come from the name of the Peacock pub which is opposite Elland Road's south stand.
