Jim Thorpe was a Native American and was sent to the Carlisle Indian Industrial School. Luckily for everyone, Pop Warner was the school's football and track coach. Under his supervision Jim Thorpe excelled at both. He also learned baseball there. Because Jim Thorpe played baseball for money before he was in the Olympics, he had to give back his Olympic Medals.

They were eventually returned. He played professional football from 1913 to 1922 and professional baseball 1913 to 1916. Lancaster played Jim in "Jim Thorpe, All-American." Wes Studi is an excellent Native American film actor. Iron Eyes Cody was a film actor but was not Native American.
