All these players were new players for the Sens. They all came during the offseason or at the trade deadline.
3. When Emery received a three-game suspension by the league, what minor leaguer backed up Martin Gerber?

Rene Divis played in St. Louis. Kelly Guard was the starting goalie for Binghamton and was called up.
4. Which of these numbers had not been worn by center Jason Spezza?

Answer: 49

He wore number 44 in his first game in the NHL against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He wore number 39 for two years until Dominik Hasek came along. He then wore number 19.

Spezza scored 34 goals in just 67 games. Playing with Heatley and Alfie helped a lot as they are not just great scorers but also great passers.
6. Who was traded to get Mike Comrie?

Pothier was picked up as a free agent by Washington in the offseason. Brian Lee was a prospect in the Ottawa system. Kaigorodov was a Russian prospect not willing to play in the minor leagues for Ottawa.
7. How many shots did Anton Volchenkov block in the season?

Answer: 273

He led the league with 273. Jason Smith was second in the league.
8. Who did the Sens get in the three-way trade for Martin Havlat?

Answer: Tom Preissing

They received Preissing from the San Jose Sharks. They signed all the rest as free agents in the offseason.
9. What position did Schubert play most of the season?

Answer: Left wing

He played a bit of defense but mostly left wing. He showed that he could be reliable in both positions.
10. Chris Neil led Ottawa in hits. Who was second?

Answer: Anton Volchenkov

Volchenkov was first overall in the blood and guts category (hits and blocked shots combined). Fisher was second in the league in hits before getting an injury and missing some time in which he was passed by numerous players.
