Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Wesley is seen using a metallic, mechanical device to stretch and to help heal an injury to his arm, but we never see how the injury to his arm occurred.

Answer: The First Duty

The very first time we see Wesley in this episode, he is in his living quarters down at Starfleet Academy, rehabbing after the flight accident that Picard learns about from the admiral during the opening teaser. He is using a metal extension device to flex his arm back and forth as part of his healing process.

It would be the only such kind of rehabilitation seen, as the rest of episode shows Wesley and his Nova Squadron comrades trying to cover up what really happened to their dead teammate before they ultimately come forward with the truth.
2. Yar is at the helm of a shuttlecraft, piloting herself and one other Starfleet officer en route to a larger Federation ship that is docked in orbit of a planet.

Answer: All Good Things...

A memorable moment from the series finale occurs when Picard, who has traveled back into the past, is onboard a shuttlecraft piloted by Tasha Yar. She ferries herself and her future captain to the Federation's flagship, the U.S.S. Enterprise, which is docked at a space station in orbit of Earth.

This marked, in fact, the ONLY time in the series where the original Chief Of Security is seen onboard a shuttle at all; in all of the other past episodes in which she appeared, using the Enterprise's transporters was always her means of getting to wherever she needed to go.
3. Nurse Ogawa is hanging out with friends in Ten Forward in this episode...and it is the ONLY episode where she does appear in Ten Forward.

Answer: Lower Decks

Dr. Crusher's trusty assistant was rarely seen away from her post in sickbay. But in an episode that predominantly focused on the junior officers, we get to see her in Ten Forward for the first time. Early on in the episode, she is sitting down at a table with the other three junior officers (the Bajoran, Sito Jaxa; the Vulcan, Taurik; and conn officer Sam Lavelle), who are all briefly joined by their charming bartender friend, Ben.

The same bunch is later seen playing poker together while discussing how they've all been struggling to make good impressions on their superiors.
4. Geordi, after being admitted to sickbay, removes his com badge and walks out of the room without telling any of the medical staff, eventually ending up in the Observation Lounge where he is seen looking out of a viewport.

Answer: The Naked Now

After Geordi is admitted to sickbay following the away team's trek over to the U.S.S. Tsiolkovsky, Dr. Crusher orders him to remain there for additional tests after an uncharacteristic angry outburst alarms her and Commander Riker. But while she is distracted with some other medical business a short time later, Geordi sits up on the biobed, voluntarily removes his com badge and walks out of sickbay without a single word to Crusher nor any of her staff. Disturbingly, the same intoxicating effect that led to the demise of the Tsiolkovsky crew also has Geordi not thinking straight himself.

After a ship-wide alert is made regarding his whereabouts, Yar eventually tracks Geordi down in the Observation Lounge. He's staring out of a viewport, then goes on to talk about how he wish he could see without his VISOR as Yar tries her best to be of some comfort.

In the process, however, her coming into contact with Geordi causes her to get infected, and it isn't long before she gives in to her own sexual lusts.
5. Picard enters his ready room, discovering that his computer and other objects are on the floor underneath his desk, but after inviting Worf into the room to perform a security sweep, no evidence of intruders can be found.

Answer: In Theory

As a result of the Enterprise having entered the dark-matter nebula that was being studied by the crew, various sectors of the ship experience momentary loss of cohesion (disappearing briefly before re-materializing as if nothing happened). In one instance, Picard leaves the bridge to go to his ready room, but he is alarmed when he notices that his tabletop computer and several items are on the floor and under his desk instead of on top if his desk where they should be.

He then asks Worf to come into the room equipped with a tricorder. Scans of the captain's things, however, reveal no residual traces of physical contact from anybody other than the captain himself, so they both rule out the possibility of intruders.
6. Lwaxana Troi, while dining with several people, shows off a living plant that moves across her arm and touches her tablemate sitting next to her.

Answer: Haven

During the pre-wedding banquet in the Conference Room for the Miller and Troi families, there is a lot of petty bickering taking place between the outrageous Lwaxana Troi and Wyatt's mother. It's clear that the two women didn't like each other from the get-go, disagreeing on whether there should be a traditional Betazoid wedding versus a Human wedding, among other things.

But their mutual disapproval reaches a boiling point when Lwaxana inquires about Mrs. Miller's appreciation for plants. When Wyatt's mother says that she does, Mrs. Troi allows her vine of a pet living plant (which had been silently draped around her shoulders) to start crawling, the unexpected touch of the leaves causing her rival to shriek in terror.

A fed up and very disappointed Deanna then protests in screaming outrage, getting up from the table and storming out of the room in tears.
7. Picard manually forces open the doors to crew quarters; once inside, he retrieves a crossbow while overhearing conversation via a communications device that is not his own com badge.

Answer: Starship Mine

Having subdued one of the terrorists while the Enterprise is undergoing the Baryon sweep, Picard is in possession of one the communication devices which Kelsey and the rest of her team are using to talk to each other. He manually pries open the doors to his quarters (given that the main computer is offline) and proceeds to grab a crossbow (presumably wanting a projectile weapon of some sort that would work in place of his non-functional phaser). All the while, he overhears the other terrorists talking to each other, Kelsey first asking about the whereabouts of the man whom Picard just knocked out before moving on to talk about how she and her team are progressing with their plans. That's when Picard interrupts by activating his communicator, warning Kelsey that the substance they are wanting to collect can only be used as a weapon.
8. An alien man waves his hand over a device that resembles a crystal ball, causing a vase sitting atop a platform to vanish; moments later, a Human man is forced to stand on the same platform, but is spared from having the alien device used on him.

Answer: Angel One

Near the end of the episode, Mistress Beata, leader of the female-dominated planet, is preparing to execute the rebel named Ramsey and his secret wife in the public gathering room. Demonstrating that 'merciful' execution method is her diminutive male servant, Trent, who is holding a device that roughly resembles a crystal ball mounted atop crude metal framework.

When Trent waves his hand over the ball, it lights up and makes a magical sound. Across the room, we then see a slightly-elevated platform with two slanted walls on either side of it, a tall reddish vase perched between the walls vanishing right before everyone's eyes. Moments later, even after Riker shares his misgivings about the execution and pleads with Beata to find another solution, one of Beata's female guards forces Ramsey to stand on the platform anyway. But, as a hesitant Trent begins to wave his hand over the crystal ball a second time, Ramsey's terrified wife cries out to Beata to stop. Angel One's Mistress commands Trent to do exactly that, offering that she'll converse with the other women on her staff to consider everything that Riker said.
9. Dr. Crusher, over the Enterprise com, asks if Geordi is in sickbay, but just as Nurse Ogawa responds by stating that he's not there, Geordi enters through the sickbay doors anyway.

Answer: Cause And Effect

In the third instance of the 'time loop' where Dr. Crusher is playing poker with Worf, Riker and Data, her feeling of déjà vu is beginning to become more and more profound. She correctly predicts the exact cards that her crewmates get when Data deals the hand.

Then, presumably recalling that Geordi had visited her in sickbay to get his VISOR symptoms checked out during the first and second iterations of the time loop, she calls sickbay to see if Geordi has arrived there. Nurse Ogawa answers and tells Beverly that Geordi isn't there.

But a moment later, when Geordi enters through the sickbay doors, Ogawa corrects herself by saying that he just walked in.
10. Picard, while down on a planet, places a jewel on the ground between himself and two aliens; after he gives a command to the Enterprise over the com, the jewel is destroyed in a fiery explosion.

Answer: Captain's Holiday

Picard catches the lovely and troublesome Vash as she is about to make her secret departure from Risa. He's figured out that she already possessed the artifact called the Tox Uhtat, despite the wild goose chase that she led everyone on. But the time-traveling aliens called the Vorgons confront the captain and the archaeologist, demanding that the powerful jewel be returned to them. Picard has no intentions of doing so; he calls up to the Enterprise and orders Riker to prepare to use a specific transporter code.

After one of the Vorgons knocks the scheming Vash down with an energy blast, Picard places the Tox Uhtat on the ground between himself and the two aliens. He quickly commands the Enterprise to initiate the transporter signal at his current location, which causes the jewel to be engulfed in a small explosion. Apparently, as we learned from this scene, that transporters of Federation ships can be modified to destroy whatever object (or person) that they lock on, comparable to how com badges had often been targeted with photon torpedoes or other weapons in many instances throughout the various trek series.
