Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who of these people voted for Donald Trump?

Answer: Serena Belinda

On Election Night, TV news reporter Beverly Hope filmed bumpers for poll coverage in front of a polling station before finding out that her material likely wasn't even going to be used. As she wrapped up one of her reports, local news rival Serena Belinda passed by to pass along her insults.
Others lined up as well, preparing to cast their ballots for the forty-fifth President of the United States, and while many voted for Hillary Clinton (like Beverly Hope, Dr. Vincent, and Winter Anderson), others like Meadow Wilton threw their vote away with write-ins like Oprah. Ultimately, Serena Belinda's Trump vote would've been one for the winner.
Ally voted for Jill Stein.
2. Who attended election night with a serious injury?

Answer: Gary Longstreet

On election night, another odd occurrence happened at the polling station. After many had already cast their votes, Kai Anderson walked in propping up Gary Longstreet, one of the workers at a local supermarket. Gary, clearly looking unwell and bleeding onto the floor, demanded to be able to place his vote at any cost.

He voted for Trump, as did Kai. Emerging from the ballot booth, Gary raised his left arm, showing a bloodied stump and yelling "Welcome to Trump's America!"
3. What is Kai's occupation?

Answer: App developer

Kai first met Harrison at a local fitness club where Harrison worked as a personal trainer. In fact, Kai specifically asked for him because he looked 'strong' saying that, ultimately, his goal is world domination. The day after the election, Kai's workout with Harrison was peppered with discussion about political views, labels, and concern for the future.

He talked about the leftist tendency to place people into categories to prop themselves up over others and says that he'd like to move into politics.

He also assured Harrison that he would be willing to protect anyone who was a part of his crew at any cost. Later that day, when Harrison was forced to perform a humiliating task at work, he saw what he later recognized as the cult smiley face drawn in steam on a shower window.
4. Meadow Wilton never worked a paying job in her life.

Answer: False

When Harrison got home, Meadow broke the news that the bank wanted to foreclose on their house; they were not bringing in enough money to make their mortgage payments, especially with Meadow on disability. When Harrison headed back to work, Kai ended up being on his twelfth and final paid session, and Harrison was urged by his boss to upsell for more.

This became apparent when Harrison headed to the floor with progress pictures in tow. He ended up being forced to tell Kai the truth about his house and everything else and Kai encouraged him to enjoy it all since the metaphorical shackles were off. That day, when Harrison cleaned the showers again, Kai drew the cult symbol himself, telling him to show his boss who was really the boss. With Kai's motivation, Harrison committed his first murder, crushing his boss' throat with weights and smashing his head with a dumbbell.
5. Harrison told Meadow that Kai was which of these things?

Answer: 'Someone to believe in'

After the deed was done to Kai's satisfaction, Harrison realized that he could go to jail forever. Kai covered for Harrison by using his phone to send out a mass text to coworkers, giving a bit of a cover and also by wiping the gym's security footage assuring Harrison that the man didn't have any family. Kai said that he's been watching Harrison and the people around him for a long time. Together, they would build something bigger and better. Later, Meadow bummed some pot off vagrants at their motel, but that couldn't really prepare her for finding Harrison and Kai in their motel room bathroom, sawing Harrison's former boss into smaller pieces.
6. For how long was Beverly admitted to a psychiatric hospital?

Answer: A month

When December rolled around, Beverly Hope pulled up to a landfill with her cameraman, RJ, to report on a story that seemed a little more hard-hitting than Serena Belinda's recent fluff piece on reflexology. What they found at the landfill was a human torso missing a head and hands, covered in chemical burns. Her lead anchor, Bob, welcomeed her back to the air following an absence.

Kai watched the report from home, focusing intently on Beverly during his frequent rewinds and rewatches, popping pills before doing a search of the reporter's recent absence. He discovered that she'd been humiliated by pranksters on several reports in the previous months, leading to an assault charge and leave of absence. Serena Belinda subsequently reported on her thirty-day admission to a psychiatric hospital.
7. According to Kai, what defines Beverly?

Answer: Her rage

At the station, Beverly, trying to work on a piece about the most dangerous spots in Michigan, found herself coming between anchorman Bob and her colleague/rival Serena, both of whom planned a weekend away together. Serena criticized Beverly's piece for not being what people would want to hear on the news while Bob threatened to replace her. All of these reasons led to her puncturing the tires of a vehicle in the parking lot. That's where Kai found her. Over coffee, Kai appealed to Beverly's concerns and urges.

He encourages Beverly not to be afraid; all great people have had strong messengers with them, and he needs her to accomplish his goals. Her rage defines her. She couldn't believe in him though, since she doesn't believe in anybody.

He left the table at that point, leaving her the address for his campaign office and promising to see her in a few days.
8. Kai admitted to killing Serena Belinda.

Answer: True

Onsite for a report, Serena Belinda filmed a take for an adoption jamboree, making a nearly letter-perfect summation of the events to come, but having her filming ruined by figures advancing from the background. By the end of her take, three clowns had descended upon her without much of a realization. She and her cameraman were brutally murdered, all on film, before the clowns departed on their merry way.

Back at Kai's, Meadow showed off some of her drawings (of clowns, no less), receiving adoring compliments from Kai about her artistic talents. He found her mask sketches to be particularly interesting, assuring her that they would need them. Beverly showed up, as expected, to ask if he was the one responsible for Serena's death. She knew it was him. He admitted it was for her, so she would believe he would do anything for her. She agreed with his request provided they share equal power.

Soon, Beverly would report on the discovery of a missing head, that of Harrison's former boss.
9. Where did Ivy first meet Winter?

Answer: At a rally

The day before the election, Ivy pressured Ally into joining her at a rally against Trump. While Ally believed Michigan would be a lock for Clinton, Ivy urged her to be supportive, knowing that she would regret not being a part of it. Nonetheless, Ally stayed home.

Ivy ended up at the rally arguing with none other than Gary Longstreet about Trump. During the argument, to her shock, he grabbed her inappropriately, though Winter Anderson would come to her side to help. After chasing after Gary (who fled in his truck), Winter would invite Ivy to lunch and they would go to the Butchery on Main. The two ended up talking about their shared distaste for patriarchy, Ally's apparent disinterest in Ivy's career, and Winter's goal of supporting a powerful individual.
10. What did Kai bring to Gary to free him from the basement?

Answer: Saw

The night before the election, as Gary Longstreet closed up his grocery store, he didn't realize that Winter had stayed behind when he locked the door. She and Ivy didn't need much effort to taze the man, tape him up, and handcuff him in a basement, only intending to let him free after twenty-four hours, at which point the cops would show up and election night would be over.

Winter returned home that night and found blood when she looked at herself in the mirror. Kai found her before she could hide it though. He asked her how it felt, and she admitted that it felt good. She, of course, told him everything.

Kai later found Gary in the basement, an hour before the polls closed. All he brought with him was a saw, and clearly not one that could cut through handcuffs. After some choice words, Kai's encouraging speech to the trapped man resulted in only one thing, and Gary made it to the polling station with one less hand.
