Near the beginning of the second hour, Brooke waited by Billy's desk at D&D Advertising so she could talk to him and then he showed up. She told Billy she wanted to call a truce between them and admitted that she misbehaved the other night when she blasted him for going on a date with Allison. Billy and Brooke then began to talk about Lowell, Brooke's ex fiancée, and Brooke asked him if he got upset whenever she mentioned Lowell. Billy replied that it seemed as if Lowell was more interested in Brooke's money than in her.

In an earlier episode, a man attacked Kimberly and was sent to jail over it. Michael found out in this episode that the man was released from jail. He went to go find Kimberly and she was not in her office so he assumed she was going to her car in the parking lot.

When Kimberly got in her car, the man came out from behind her and held a knife to her throat. He told her to drive and then Michael saw her car so he got in a man's taxi cab to follow her. Michael managed to save Kimberly before the man could hurt her.

Brooke went to go talk to Amanda since it was payday at D&D Advertising but her check was not there. Amanda explained to her that her paycheck was coming late since she used up all her sick days as well as her cash advances. Amanda told Brooke she had to leave since she had a meeting with Allison.

There was one scene at the end of the second hour where Billy, Allison, Jake and Jane were all together and they decided to go on a double date. As they were leaving the apartment complex, they saw Brooke. Brooke argued with all four of them and then all four left after Brooke continued to get belligerent with them.

In one scene, Richard was at Hart-Mancini Designs and running his workers ragged, which upset Jo. Jo informed him how she had to skip breakfast and lunch to work that day but this did not move Richard in the least bit. As he started to walk away, Jo went after him and said this was not Ancient Egypt since the workers at the office were not his slaves. Richard suggested that Jo should quit if she could not handle the pressure of working at Hart-Mancini Designs.

Allison was finished working at D&D Advertising for the day so she went to her car and it was while she was going to it that she noticed Brooke crying in hers. She tapped on Brooke's window and asked her if everything was alright. Brooke told her things were obviously not okay so Brooke went to start her car but Allison took her keys since she wanted to help Brooke.

When Allison asked Brooke what she could do to help, she noticed that all of Brooke's belongings were in her car and therefore Brooke was homeless.

She told Brooke to come home with her since she would not let her sleep in her car. Brooke got out and continued to argue with Allison but then she broke down in Allison's arms.
