3. At the barracks, the mood appears quite ominous, as Hurley declares, "We're all gonna die." However, Hurley and Sawyer are engaged in a game. What game are they playing?

Hurley, Sawyer and John are engrossed in a game of Risk. Sawyer tells Hurley, "Calm down, Chicken Little, the sky ain't fallin down yet." They talk about strategy and the game continues. Apparently, Sawyer is successful in gaining critical territory, and the game continues.

In Tozeur, Tunisia, Ben arrives at a hotel requesting a room. Having confirmed his name, the receptionist accords Ben with a substantially higher degree of respect. Ben inquires as to the date. It's October 24th, 2005. The name itself may have been derived from the character in Jack Kerouac's novel, "On the Road." However, the name Moriarty is more reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes's main rival, Professor James Moriarty.

6. Alerted to danger, Ben insists that everyone barricade the house and assume a defensive position. Against Ben's wishes, Hurley allows Sawyer to enter the house, by breaking a window. Suddenly, the doorbell rings. Who is at the door?

Reluctantly, the door is opened after the doorbell rings. Miles enters, bearing a phone. Miles says, that the team of mercenaries wants to talk. Initially, Ben is reluctant to talk, until he learns that their captive is his daughter.

7. Here, we divine the future relationship between Ben and Sayid. Ben has revealed to Sayid, the killer of his wife. Ben has been tracking the killer, but the killer is aware of Ben's pursuit, and has accosted Ben. How does Sayid intervene?

Answer: Sayid approaches from behind and assassinates the killer.

In this fascinating flash forward, Ben tries to track the killer of Sayid's wife. The killer is aware of Ben's pursuit and snares Ben. In the midst of some negotiation, Sayid appears from behind and kills the assassin with a silent revolver. It is at this point, that Ben and Sayid form an unspoken contract to work together against their common enemy.

8. Keamy, in accordance with his ultimatum, has assassinated Ben's daughter. Ben declares that the rules have been broken. What does Ben do in retaliation?

Answer: Ben unleashes the smoke monster.

Realizing that the stakes are higher than he had anticipated, Ben enters a secret room, performs some machinations, and the smoke monster appears. As the others head for safety, per Ben's instructions, Ben bids a final goodbye to his daughter.
