Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Type of car Paris was working on in "Vis a Vis."

Answer: Camaro

He was working on this car in the "Grease Monkey" program. Everyone thought that this program was a waste of time - until in "The 37s", Paris' knowledge came in handy when the crew found an old truck floating in space.
2. Being who brought Voyager to the Delta Quadrant.

Answer: Caretaker

The Caretaker took care of the Ocampa. His people were responsible for the destruction of their natural environment. When he realised he was dying, the Caretaker tried finding a compatible being that could help him procreate. As a way of finding a suitable being, he pulled beings from all over the galaxy to the Delta Quadrant.
3. Shuttle that was destroyed in "Day of Honor."

Answer: Cochrane

This is one shuttle that Chakotay didn't destroy! In "Day of Honor," B'Elanna and Tom had to go retrieve the warp core. Unfortunately, their shuttle was destroyed by aliens trying to steal the warp core and they had to beam themselves into space wearing only environmental suits.

As they ran out of oxygen to breathe, the couple admitted their feelings for each other - just as Voyager reached them and brought them to safety.
4. Tuvok was blinded in "Year of Hell" because of this weapon.

Answer: Chroniton torpedo

It had lodged itself in the ship, but didn't detonate. Seven and Tuvok went to go find out more about the weapon and Seven lingered too long trying to find out moe information. The torpedo exploded when Tuvok was too close, blinding him.
5. Instrument Harry Kim forgot when he left for Deep Space Nine.

Answer: clarinet

In "Caretaker," Janeway tells Tuvok that right before they had left, she had received a message from Harry's mom asking if there was still time for her to send his clarinet as he'd forgotten it. Janeway felt bad, but had to tell her that it wouldn't arrive at Deep Space Nine before Voyager departed. Later in the series, Harry used some of his replicator rations and replicated another one.

In "Night," we see Harry on the bridge playing the clarinet as there was nothing else to do.
6. The Doctor's wife... at least in the episode "Real Life."

Answer: Charlene

When the Doctor created his family, his wife was a perfect cook, complimented everything he said, etc. But after B'Elanna 'came over' for dinner and saw the program, she 'tweaked' it a bit to make it more like real life. Overnight, Charlene had to work at night and left the Doctor to deal with his son's Klingon friends and his daughter who was trying to be on an older Parises Squares team.
7. Name of man who made a bathtub for the captain.

Answer: Chakotay

In "Resolutions," Chakotay and Janeway were stranded on a planet together as they had contracted a virus that the Doctor couldn't cure. As Voyager left to return to the Alpha Quadrant without Chakotay and Janeway, the pair had to come to terms with their new life on the planet.

As a way to help Janeway cope with being left on the primitive planet, he made her a bathtub - which is her favourite way of relaxing.
8. Last name of the doctor that wanted to marry Janeway...er, Queen Arachnia.

Answer: Chaotica

Dr. Chaotica was a character in Tom's "Captain Proton" holoprogram. When Janeway was forced to play Queen Arachnia, Dr. Chaotica decided to marry her.
9. Seska's real race.

Answer: Cardassian

Seska had led everyone to believe she was a Bajoran. But once she left to join the Kazon, she went back to her natural state: Cardassian. Chakotay thought that he must have been pretty oblivious - after all, there was Tuvok who was a Federation spy and then Seska, who was a Cardassian spy.
10. Lieutenant who almost beat out B'Elanna to become Chief Engineer.

Answer: Carey

Lieutenant Joe Carey was a by-the-book Starfleet Engineer. After they got lost in the Delta Quadrant and the Chief was killed, it was between Carey and B'Elanna for the position. Janeway was leaning towards choosing Carey, but (after pressure from Chakotay) agreed to let both sit in on a meeting.

Although a bit brusque, B'Elanna worked well with Janeway and was named Chief Engineer. Lt. Carey was not heard from for a while after the first couple seasons until one of the very last episodes of the seventh season.

In "Friendship One," he is killed after having been taken hostage.
11. Last name of Janeway's original first officer who didn't live past the first hour of the series.

Answer: Cavit

Commander Cavit was friends with the doctor (who was also fatally injured as Voyager entered the Delta Quadrant). Both men distrusted Paris and seemed a little upset that Janeway had asked him to come along and help find Chakotay's ship.
12. Seven's implant that failed in the episode "Imperfection."

Answer: cortical node

Her cortical node failed. After trying to obtain one from a Borg ship failed, Seven began to accept that she was going to die. Icheb did some research and removed his own cortical implant so that the Doctor could implant it in Seven. As Icheb was young and had never been fully integrated into the Borg Collective, he was able to live without the implant.
13. Janeway invited Chakotay to the holodeck for a midnight sail and this drink at the end of the episode "Coda."

Answer: champagne

Because she had cheated death, Janeway decided to go for a midnight sail on Lake George and share a bottle of champagne with Chakotay as a way to celebrate. Throughout the series, we see the two sharing drinks like wine and champagne. In one episode, Chakotay even goes to the cargo bay to fetch a bottle of his 'private stock' that he had hidden away from Neelix so that he could share it with Janeway at dinner.
14. Episode where Voyager becomes home for 4 Borg children.

Answer: Collective

"Cathexis" is where Chakotay is declared brain dead and his 'soul' is trying to save the ship. "Counterpoint" is where Voyager is harboring telepaths and Janeway has to make nice with the inspector in order to save the ship. "Concerning Flight" is the episode where Leonardo DaVinci is kidnapped along with the ship's computer core.
15. Admiral Janeway had given up this drink in the episode "Endgame."

Answer: coffee

Throughout the entire series, Captain Janeway is seen drinking more coffee than all of Columbia could produce in 100 years. In "The Cloud," Janeway had to set an example and couldn't replicate her coffee, she had to drink Neelix's 'coffee substitute' instead. Apparently, it taste horrible.

In another episode, she entered the Mess Hall and Neelix tried to talk to her. She refused to even listen to what he had to say until she had had a sip of her coffee.
