Marla Gibbs depicted the live-in maid of George (Sherman Hemsley) and Louise Jefferson (Isabel Sanford) on the CBS sitcom, "The Jeffersons" (1975-85). Florence Johnston was a dedicated choir member at her church, but was always looking for a fine man or a fine stiff drink! George persistently insulted her on her cleaning capabilities, and she would promptly strike back at him on his short stature.

At times, it was difficult to comprehend who was really the boss in the Jefferson household.
