Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the small town of Cedarville, an award ceremony is taking place with accordant fanfare and celebration. An award is presented to Bob Harris. What kind of award does he receive?

Answer: Annual Community Service Award

Bob Harris is an upstanding member of the community. He is described as being the coach of a winning baseball team, a treasurer for a scholarship fund and also the owner of the sole gas station in town. Thus, he is presented with the 2011 Community Service Award.
2. In Dr. Foreman's office, he announces, "As the new Dean of Medicine, I would like to personally welcome all of our new employees ..." Who are the "new" employees?

Answer: Chase and Taub

In a particularly humorous scene, Chase and Taub stand before Foreman as the "new" employees. They have decided to return to working with House, since they deem it more fulfilling and challenging than their current positions. They do view the notion of spying on House for Foreman with some degree of chagrin.
3. As the team discusses the case of Bob Harris, it is suggested that the patient is lying about something. The patient had earlier declared that he had been sitting at his desk when he had a heart attack. What was he really doing?

Answer: He was having an affair

It is revealed that the rug burns on the patient's knees are relatively new. It doesn't require a great deal of analytical skill to deduce that these burns did not come about from sitting at a desk. Bob confesses that he was having an affair with Miss Cedarville.
4. One of the new team members has additional parental responsibilities. Unable to find a babysitter, who accepts the responsibility of caring for the two babies?

Answer: Wilson

The new team member has sired two babies. Inexplicably unable to find a babysitter on short notice, Wilson accepts the responsibility. House fully realizes that Wilson would be the ideal candidate for such a responsibility. House pays Wilson a visit and discovers the truth.
5. The patient makes a confession to his wife. How does his wife respond?

Answer: She forgives him

The team members are divided on the issue of making a confession of infidelity. However, Bob is adamant and issues his confession. Even though, she is visibly upset, she tells the team that she is willing to forgive her husband. She declares that her husband made a horrible, stupid mistake, but they will get through it.
6. It is a supreme quest for House to determine the parental integrity of one of his team members. The team member in question has lunch with Wilson. What does Wilson say that particularly upsets the father of the two babies?

Answer: House has placed a wager though out the hospital concerning paternity

As the new team member is revealing his true feelings in earnest about the situation regarding his two babies, Wilson blithely says that House has "started a betting pool on which kid is yours and which isn't." After this is said, a glance around the room reveals that practically everyone in the room is observing.
7. It appears that Bob Harris is not quite the upstanding citizen that the town thought he was. To which of the following did he not confess?

Answer: Wrestling with an alligator

Bob Harris needs a partial liver transplant. His fellow town members turn out in magnanimous support for their town hero. However, in an abrupt turn of events, Bob suddenly spouts out the confessions held within for a long period of time. He admits to infidelity.

He tells several of the residents that he charged them for unnecessary car repairs. He embezzled money from the scholarship fund to support his gambling habit. Needless to say, the majority of citizens were unhappy and quickly departed.
8. The new member of House's team is taking good care of his two babies. House has injected the new member with some modicum of guilt and curiosity. What does the new member do?

Answer: He takes a swab sample for DNA confirmation

House instilled some degree of doubt into the new member of the team. He decides to take a sample of their DNA for analysis. He professes his undying devotion to the two babies, yet he declares that he wants to know.
9. The father of the two babies finally gets a chance to analyze the results. He presents the results on a screen but he is interrupted by Foreman. What news does Foreman tell the father about the DNA?

Answer: "You're lookin' at monkey DNA."

Foreman asserts that the DNA portrayed on the screen is actually DNA supplanted by House. As always, House is on top of things and has apparently switched the DNA samples.
10. In an interesting turn of events, it turns out that Bob has not committed many of the events to which he has confessed. Which of the following is his final diagnosis? It is reminiscent of a Japanese motorcycle manufacturer.

Answer: Kawasaki disease

In a somewhat obscure set of circumstances, it seems that Bob derived his vagaries of symptoms from his tryst with Miss Cedarville. His cavorting on the carpet, which was manufactured overseas, led to absorption of toxic chemicals from the carpet. In a tragic moment of irony, Bob tells his wife that he did not have an affair, when in fact, it happens to be the cause of his stay in the hospital.
