Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to the orientation video for station three, "The Swan," in what year was the Dharma Initiative founded?

Answer: 1970

"...the Dharma Initiative was created in 1970, and was the brainchild of Gerald and Karen deGroot, two doctoral candidates at the University of Michigan."
2. What Danish industrialist and munitions magnate provided the funding for the Dharma Initiative?

Answer: Alvar Hanso

Marvin Candle is the narrator of the orientation film for station three. Christian Shephard is Jack's father. Benjamin Linus is the supposed "leader" of the Others.
3. Which of the Dharma Initiative stations contained a glass eye, as discovered by the survivors of the tail section of Oceanic flight 815?

Answer: The Arrow

"The Arrow", which was nothing more than a small storage facility, also housed a copy of the Bible in which Mr. Eko discovered the missing pieces of the orientation film for "The Swan" station.
4. "The Hydra" station was designed for communication with the outside world.

Answer: False

According to Mikhail, "The Flame" station was designed for communication with the outside world. John Locke later blew up "The Flame" using the C-4 he discovered in the basement of the station.
5. To which medical station was Claire taken by Ethan during her abduction?

Answer: The Staff

Although the station appeared abandoned after Claire and Kate returned there in search of medical supplies, Juliet later revealed to Sun a hidden area of the station that was still in operation.
6. Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were taken by the Others to a remote zoological research station known as what?

Answer: The Hydra

"The Hydra" station was indeed a remote facility. In fact, it wasn't located on the main island at all, but instead on a much smaller island off the coast.
7. What name was given to the candy bar eaten and stocked by the Dharma Initiative?

Answer: Apollo

Unlike the other Dharma Initiative foodstuffs, which were all packaged in generic white-and-black, the candy bars stocked on the island had their own brand and a shiny blue metallic wrapper. "We can have as many as we want!" an enthusiastic little girl told the young Ben when he first arrived on the island. We later find out this brand was not Dharma manufactured, but a name brand characters ate before the island as well.
8. What was the name of the station located at the coastal camp where Michael had been held captive by the Others?

Answer: It had no name

This is a trick question. Although there appears to be a Dharma station under guard at The Others' camp, it is only a set of false doors leading to nothing, as Sayid discovered upon closer investigation.
9. Although Mikhail had believed Bonnie and Greta to be on a special assignment in Canada, he later discovered that Ben had assigned them to what secret underwater station?

Answer: The Looking Glass

Fittingly, the symbol of "The Looking Glass" station was a white rabbit.
10. Members of the Dharma Initiative who had been assigned to "The Pearl" station were required to write observational reports and send them along via a pneumatic tube. Where did these reports ultimately end up?

Answer: An empty field

Although the orientation video for "The Pearl" indicated that the activity in the "The Swan" station was nothing more than a psychological experiment, the opposite is in fact true. The observations written by those assigned to "The Pearl" were sent to an empty field on the island and never read by anyone.
