Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the beginning of this episode, Jack thinks he receives news that he's part black.

Answer: True

Jack receives a postcard from his mother, who's on a cruise. He reads from it, "Jack, I know this may come as a shock to you, but your father is a black boy. Gotta run. It's coconut shrimp night. Kisses, Mommy." Will asks, "She said your father's a black boy?" Grace asks, "And they have an entire night dedicated to coconut shrimp? What is that toll-free number?" Jack then says, "Oh my God. I'm black. I'm black, and my mother says "black boy". I'm black, and my mother's a racist." Will says, "Jack's black. I don't know why I have never noticed this before. I salute you, my proud, black brother." Jack then tells him, "Thank you, Will.

It's nice to have your support. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find out what it means to be black like me."
2. Who does Will think Grace called him?

Answer: Tonya Harding

Will tells Grace she needs to get rid of a car that she's had in storage for four years. Grace tells him it was her Uncle Jerry's car and that's all she has to remember him by and it has sentimental value. Will then says, "It's a Chevy Citation with no A/C and old man stink." Grace tells him, "It's family. Look. You wouldn't understand that, because you're tiny-hearted." Will says, "Did you just call me Tonya Harding?" Grace says, "Don't flatter yourself."
3. "It's like my whole life, I've been __."

Answer: waiting to exhale

Will, Jack, Karen and Grace are sitting in the citation. Karen tells Jack, "You know, honey, I'm happy for you, and I'm happy for me. I've always wanted a black friend." Jack says, "I finally found my roots, Kar. It's like my whole life, I've been waiting to exhale." Jack then exhales.
4. "A kitten who smokes __ packs a day."

Answer: ten

Once Grace got the car started, smoke begins to come from the engine and into the car where they are. Jack coughs and says, "Grace. I think there's something wrong with your car." Grace asks, "What are you talking about? It's purring like a kitten." Karen coughs and says, "Yeah. A kitten who smokes ten packs a day!" Will is coughing and says, "God, this is like a Cheech and Chong movie."
5. How much did Will really sell Grace's car for?

Answer: $400

Will enters carrying a box full of stuff and tells Grace, "Here we go. Here's all the stuff from inside the car, and here's your $350." Grace asks, "Did you find a good home for him?" Will says, "Yeah, honey, I did. I sold him to a family with a farm. There's lots of room for him to roam, and lots of other cars for him to play with." Grace finds a tape from her Uncle Jerry and when she plays it, we hear, "Mini, you know how much you mean to me. You're my family, and this Chevy Citation represents my deep, deep affection for you, as long as you have this car I'll always be with you." Grace then says, "And you sold my Uncle Jerry for $350. How you must feel!" Will tells her, "Actually, I sold it for $400, and kept $50 as a finder's fee." He laughs but then stops and says, "Not a time to laugh, though."
6. According to Sister Louise, how old was she when she was sent to a convent?

Answer: 3

Ellen DeGeneres played the role of Sister Louise in this episode. WHen Will and Grace go see her to buy the car back from her, she tells them, "My family sent me to a convent when I was three. Actually, they told me I was going to the zoo. I was all excited. They got me dressed up, gave me a lollipop, I ended up here. All I wanted to do was see the penguins. Ironic, isn't it?"
7. How much did Sister Louise want to sell the car back to them for?

Answer: $3000

After Sister Louise initially refuses to sell the car back to them, Grace says, "I'm really sorry about the whole zoo thing, but nobody messes with my family. I mean, what do you need with a car anyway? Can't you fly?" Sister Louise says, "Well, let's see.

The Bible does teach the value of charity and helping your fellow man. But God's no fool. I want $3,000 in traveler's checks." Grace says, "What? Are you kidding? You paid $400." Sister Louise then says, "Look, you two work it out, I got to go. "What a Friend We Have in Cheesecake" doesn't run itself." Will then tells Grace, "I'm not spending $3,000 on this piece of junk." Grace then kisses the car goodbye and says, "Eww. Bird poop."
8. Which of the following names does Karen not call Beverley?

Answer: Munchkin

Karen and beverley decide to play for Rosario in a game o pool. Beverley is winning and when he gets to the 8-ball, he tells her he's going to hit it in the side-pocket. Karen hits the cue and he misses. It's her turn and he sneezes and she scratches.

He tells her, "You scratched, I won. Rosario's mine." Karen says, "Back off, you Keebler elf." Beverley says, "Don't you take that tone with me, mister!" Karen says, "Hey, I'm not afraid to hit you, you little cup-size Capote. How about that?" Beverley says, "Well, bring it on, big cheater!" Karen says, "Maid stealer!" They then begin fighting with their cue sticks. Karen pushes him to the floor then he gets up and jumps on her back.

She yells, "Get off me, Tattoo. Get off of me!" Beverley then says, "I won fair and square. Rosario's mine!" They then begin to wrestle on the pool table and Rosario enters.

She says, "You won me in a game of pool? What am I, your prize bull?" Beverley says, "It was her idea, Rosario. I called you a person." Karen tells him, "Shut up, lucky charms!" She then says to Rosario, "Don't you listen to him." Rosario tells her, "I'm not listening to anyone. I don't want to see either one of you again."
9. Which of the following items is not mentioned while Grace is throwing things away?

Answer: a key chain

When Will comes home, he sees Grace putting things in boxes and asks what she is doing. Grace tells him, "Cleaning house. You know, this whole car thing made me realize I hold onto stuff way longer that I need to." Will says, "What, your Nancy Drew, Girl Detective membership card? Aren't you going to need that in case something mysterious happens down at Old Man Winsley's place?" Grace tells him, "The creepy caretaker did it. Anyway, I don't need it. Just like I don't need this "remember me always" bracelet I got from what's-her-name. Or this piece of the Berlin Wall I got as a gift with purchase at the Lancome counter at Bloomingdale's." Will then asks, "How about these clown shoes?" Grace says, "Those are my ballet slippers from fourth grade. I went from a 4 to an 8 in a month. Anyway, you were right, I just have to let all this stuff go."
10. Instead of being black, Jack finds out he is a __"?

Answer: black

Jack tells Karen, "I'm devastated. I talked to mother last night, and it turns out, I'm not black." Karen says, "Honey, I won't believe it. I mean, look at you." Jack then says, "I know. It's true. I'm not black. I'm a Black. She got knocked up by one of the Black boys, an Irish-Catholic family from her hometown." Karen tells him, "Well, at least you're one step closer to finding your real dad." Jack says, "Don't try to console me. Once you've been black, you can never go back."
