1. "From beneath you, it devours" became sort of a slogan for season 7, in which episode did we first hear this spoken?

It was first spoken by an unknown German potential, who was killed by bringers, in Buffy's dream.

2. The first time we hear the song that is used as Spike's trigger.

Answer: "Sleeper"

It's called "Early one morning", as we later learn in "Lies My Parents Told Me". The First uses this to make Spike kill without him knowing about it, and without his chip going off.

3. Spike's trigger is deactivated.

Answer: "Lies My Parents Told Me"

Robin Wood triggers Spike because he wants to kill the vampire that killed his mother, and that is the way to bring him out. Instead of being killed Spike comes to term with a few things in his past, and the trigger is deactivated.

4. Anya is turned back into a human.

Answer: Selfless

She feels bad about a wish she granted which killed something like 12 fratboys. D'Hoffryn takes the wish back, and Anya is human again. This is also the episode where Halfrek, Anya's vengeance demon friend, dies.

5. Buffy finds the Scythe she later uses to kill Caleb.

She sees the Scythe embedded in stone, about the same time Faith and the potentials find a bomb about to go off in the sewer.

A guy at Dawn's school, RJ, has an enchanted jacket that makes all the girls fall in love with him, including Dawn, Buffy, Anya and Willow. To prove their love Buffy was going to kill Principal Wood, Anya robbed a bank, Willow intended to use magic to turn RJ into a girl, and Dawn almost let a train run over her.

8. The Watcher's Council is blown up.

They were just getting ready to go to Sunnydale to help the Slayer when Caleb blew up the building. He takes credit for this in "Dirty Girls" while talking to the First.

At the end of the episode she appears as his mother and tells him this. In the next episode, "Get It Done", he confirms it as he sees Spike wearing his mother's coat.

While Wood And Spike wait for Buffy and Andrew to close the seal in the High School Wood gets a chance to kill Spike, but he's interrupted by one of the Hellmouth-influenced students. In "Lies My Parents Told Me" he comes very close to succeeding in his vendetta.

This is due to a spell Willow cast. A yellow cloud is supposed to lead them to the potential, but it hits Dawn when she's at the door, and they think she's it. It later turns out Amanda, who's the real potential, was outside the door.

It reads (probably directed to Caleb or the First): "It is not for thee. It is for her alone to wield."

Buffy uses this Scythe in "Chosen" to kill Caleb, and Willow later uses it to turn all the potentials in the world into Slayers.

This turns Willow into Warren, due to a spell cast by Amy. She then has to come to term with the loss of Tara, and turns back into herself.

14. Andrew kills Jonathan.

The First, as Warren, convinces Andrew to stab Jonathan so that his blood would open the Seal of Danzalthar. It didn't work, as we find out in "Never Leave Me", because Jonathan was anemic.

15. Willow visits Tara's grave for the first time.

She apparently hadn't been able to before, but in this episode Xander accompanies her to the graveyard, so she can see Tara's grave.

16. Willow comes back to Sunnydale.

She, accidentally, casts a spell that makes her invisible to Buffy, Xander and Dawn, and them invisible to her. Then Willow is almost skinned alive by Gnarl, a demon/parasite.

17. Giles comes back to Sunnydale, with three potential slayers.

They are Kennedy, Molly and Annabelle. Annabelle is later killed by the Turok-Han, or "�ber-vamp" that Buffy kills in "Showtime", and that was raised in "Never Leave Me".

18. Angel comes back to help Buffy.

He comes back with information and an amulet with some sort of power.

19. Sunnydale High School is reopened.

Answer: "Lessons"

The first words spoken in the episode: "It's about Power"; also happens to be the last words spoken in "Lessons", and sets the theme for the season. This episode sees the High School reopened, Buffy being offered a job as a guidance counsellor, and Spike being back in Sunnydale, and insane, among other things.

20. Sunnydale is destroyed.

Answer: Chosen

A definitive ending to an incredible show. The Hellmouth is closed for good after an epic battle between good and evil.
