1. One wonderful day fifteen years earlier, in 1990, Angela Forrest bought a ten-month old baby Dana from a junkie girl named Deirdre. Very shortly afterwards, she changed her and her family's names and moved to what town with her husband and baby?

"Desperate Housewives" takes place in a made up state (Eagle State) in a make-believe town (Fairview), on an imaginary street (Wisteria Lane). Before Mary Alice Young and her husband and new son, Paul and Zach, respectively, move to Eagle State, they lived in Utah. Deirdre offered Mary Alice (then Angela) her baby for all of the money she kept in the house, and since Mary Alice couldn't have a child of her own, and Deirdre so desperately needed money and would very obviously not spend it on her baby, Mary Alice bought baby Dana from her.

2. The "wonderful day" this episode takes place on starts at 5 o'clock a.m., when someone calls Susan, Lynette, and Gabrielle to inform them that Rex has had a heart attack. Who calls?

Answer: Danielle

Bree doesn't know how her three closest friends found out she was in the hospital and that Rex had a heart attack, but the housewives tell Bree that Danielle, Bree's 16 year-old daughter, had called. Julie is Susan's 14 year-old daughter. Andrew is Bree's 17 year-old son, but he is away when this episode takes place.

3. Felicia Tilman tells Zach that Paul lied in the note he left for Zach, and that Paul is in fact not coming back. This outrages Zach, and as Felicia walks down the Youngs' stairs to "make Zach some pudding", Zach decides to pick something up and attack his new guardian with it. What type of "weapon" does Zach attack Mrs. Tilman with?

One would hope Zach didn't have a nightstick (a police-officer's club) on hand. A shovel would most likely also not have been in Zach's bedroom, and would have most likely killed Felicia, judging by the force Zach used when he swung. Deirdre hit Paul with a fireplace poker, or stoker, in a flashback scene.

But Zach picked up a hockey stick and started whacking Mrs. Tilman with it, while he yelled the question "What did you do to my dad?!" at her.

4. In the previous episode, "Goodbye For Now", the new mysterious neighbors, the Applewhites, moved into the Mullins' house in the wee hours of the morning. But it's finally daylight on this wonderful day when Edie and viewers meet them for the first time. How had Edie sold them the house?

Answer: Over the phone

Edie tells them that she was most curious to meet them, as she'd never sold a house over the phone before. These two new neighbors obviously had a secret, and it really isn't until the second season finale that the entire extent of it is revealed!

5. Susan is leaving Mike a message on his cell phone when he interrupts, finally returning all of Susan's previous messages. How many times had Susan called Mike before that final call that was interrupted?

Answer: 3

In a cartoon-like fashion, you can see time passing as Susan calls Mike over and over again. Susan informs Mike that she found Martha Huber's diary and knows about the blackmail, that she really wants to talk to him, that Paul might have killed his old girlfriend, etc. Susan ends each call with the fact that she loves him, although she grows increasingly angry at not being able to reach Mike. On the fourth call, she apologizes for her angry third call, but then Mike interrupts the call, obviously not receiving the message she was leaving simultaneously.

6. Gabrielle decides that she will testify for Carlos after all. However, she needs Carlos to do stuff for her in return. He'll be the one waking up in the middle of the night, changing diapers, and taking the baby to doctors' appointments. He'll also be on "bottle duty". When Carlos then asks Gabrielle, "Aren't we breastfeeding?" how does she respond?

Answer: Oh, Honey, if you can swing that one, more power to you.

Gabrielle enters the scene carrying Carlos's clothes, but she doesn't want to dress Carlos, so they take his handcuffs off. Gabrielle's testifying, alright, but she is only doing so because she wants Carlos to make it so that she has "some semblance of a life" once her child is born. After all, "in some circles beating up people at all is frowned upon".

7. "I told Peterson he could stick it," Tom tells Lynette, explaining that he had indeed quit his job, and that was why he was in an arcade. "You asked Peterson's wife to make sure he didn't promote me, so he gives a huge promotion to Annabel, so I quit. What don't you understand?" Tom is playing what game against a kid named Kevin (while a bunch of other kids watch) as he says this?

Answer: Air hockey

It would be hard for Tom to be "playing" a toy crane machine (claw vending machine), and even harder for him to be doing it "against" someone. Pinball he might have been able to do, but it would have to be one at a time, and probably the next least likely. Racing simulators are often in video arcades like the one Tom and Lynette appeared to be in, but Tom was beating a kid named Kevin in an intense game of air hockey. Tom actually was saying he was winning "19-0" and "20-0", although a typical air hockey game only goes to 7.

8. The last time Bree and Rex are ever together, Bree mentions that she still has to do the spring cleaning. Rex surprises Bree by actually knowing what she always finishes the spring cleaning with - she thought he wasn't watching all those years, but he was. What does she always save for last?

Answer: Polishing their wedding silver

"And do you know why I save it for last?" a smiling Bree asks Rex. Bree saves it for last because it reminds her of her Aunt Fern, and how she had told Bree on their wedding day to remember, even in bad times, that the best was yet to come. And every time she polishes the silver she thinks about that, and how right she was. Rex wants to say some stuff to Bree "just in case", because he was going to have surgery, but Bree assured him he'd be alright.

When asked how she was so sure, Bree said, "because I told you: the best is yet to come."

9. Susan gets trapped in Mike's house due to Zach and his implied death threat (he's holding a gun). But the only reason Susan went over to Mike's house in the first place is that she was reminded to feed Bongo. Who reminded her to feed Mike's dog?

Answer: Julie

Julie: "So I'll see you Sunday. Don't forget to feed Bongo."
Susan: "Oh, thanks. I'll go do that now."
Then Karl makes Julie go in the car as he tries to express his concern for his daughter living with a plumber/ex-con. But Julie and Susan like Mike, and so he's going to stay.

10. Edie doesn't realize that Zach has trapped Susan in Mike's house, so Edie comes over and asks Susan if she could just "come in and hang out for a while". What had happened earlier this "wonderful day" that had caused Edie to be "totally freaked out"?

Answer: Felicia Tilman was attacked at the Young house, and they just took her away an ambulance.

Susan answers the door, saying "What a pleasant surprise." Edie has come over to warn all the neighbors that Felicia Tilman was attacked. Edie also asks Susan if she can come in because guys haven't shown up at the job site yet, and she's all alone. Susan tries mouthing to Edie, "Zach is sticking a gun at me," but Edie misinterprets it, and just thinks Susan's being rude.
