Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The episode resumed where "NullZilla" left off. Bob was observing the incredibly weakened Hexadecimal. As he was taking her back home to Lost Angles, an infected Megabyte attacked her and pulled her out of the car. In the spot where they landed, a new virus named Gigabyte had compiled. How was Gigabyte created in this episode?

Answer: Hexadecimal and Megabyte merged together into one.

Black Megabyte originally showed up to try and merge with Hex when she and Bob were still on ground level. Thanks to Bob's Glitch, he was unable to merge at that time. When Bob sent Glitch away to retrieve his car, Megabyte continued to attack. Luckily, Dot grabbed him with a giant clamp and tried to keep him away from the two. Megabyte tried infecting the clamp, so Dot dropped him. AS Bob and Hex were driving away, Megabyte grabbed Hex and dropped them both into the ground, creating an instant transformation that resulted in a brand new virus named Gigabyte.
2. Bob originally thought that the new virus, Gigabyte, could be a benign or friendly virus.

Answer: True

As Bob witnessed the form of the brand new merged virus, Bob informed the surprised people at the Principal Office that the virus' transformation could of made it a friendly one. Enzo sarcastically told Bob that it would be so easy to tell just by looking at it. AndrAIa did not catch onto Enzo's sarcastic remark, so she asked him if he really could tell.
3. After Bob tried communicating with the virus, it informed him that it's name was Gigabyte and it was a destroyer of systems. Bob tried hitting it with Glitch but the virus absorbed it's energy. Apparently, Gigabyte could absorb energy from anything it touched. Theoretically, the virus could of opened a portal to the Net. Why did it not do that?

Answer: It was still too weak to do that.

Gigabyte's first communication to Bob proved to him that the virus was evil. Bob tried using an energy beam at it, but the virus just absorbed it. It then proceeded to attack Bob. Phong told Bob that the reason why Gigabyte had not yet made a portal to the Net was that it was too weak, thanks to Hex's energy drain at the hands of the nulls.
4. Facing deletion at the hands of Gigabyte, Bob and Dot were saved in the nick of time by Mouse. Dot was very grateful that Mouse had saved her and Bob from the virus.

Answer: False

Bob was very happy that Mouse had returned and saved them from the supervirus. Dot, on the other hand, was not. Remembering when Mouse nearly deleted Enzo in season one, Dot had a grudge against the skilled sprite. Mouse really did not care what Dot had to say, she only cared about Bob. Even Phong was less than thrilled to see her back in Mainframe.

He refused to lower the Principal Office shields to let her in with Bob and Dot. Mouse just hacked through the field and went inside anyway.
5. Phong realized that if the virus got near the Principal Office shields, Mainframe would be doomed and the virus would have infinite power. Bob then thought of a rather unorthodox plan to defeat the virus. What was it?

Answer: To give the virus as much energy as he could handle.

AndrAIa believed that the sprites would be safe inside the Principal Office, but Phong told her that the shields were pure energy. If Gigabyte would drain the energy, he would gain back all of Hex's weakened powers and then some. Bob then told the sprites that his plan was to give the virus as much energy as it could handle.

He got Mouse and Dot to fly out and retrieve a tear from the energy sea. Bob didn't reveal how his plan was going to unfold, but he asked everyone to trust him.
6. Before the plan Bob had devised could be followed through, Bob had to do one thing to make sure that Gigabyte could not gain anymore energy. What was the plan?

Answer: Send him far away from Mainframe via a floating island.

Before heading out to grab a tear, Mouse dropped Bob off at the foot of the floating island. As Bob seemed to be outclassed by the supervirus, Hack and Slash showed up to help him. They punched the virus and it fell over. As soon as they were all on the isle, Phong released it as far away from Mainframe as possible. All that needed to be done was to grab the energy that Bob had planned to retrieve and distract Gigabyte on the island.
7. Mouse and Dot had located a tear in the energy sea. What they needed to do was make a containment field using a special type of remote. What did the remote used for containment look like?

Answer: A Sony Playstation controller

As the two sprites approached the tear, Mouse ordered Dot to level the ship while she went to contain the tear. When Mouse grabbed the containment field generator's controller, it looked exactly like the Sony Playstation's patented game controller. It was fitting since a "ReBoot" video-game was made on the Playstation console.

After Mouse contained it, an unstable burst from the tear knocked Mouse off of the basket she was standing in. As she fell closer to her doom, Dot grabbed her out of mid-air and saved her life.
8. Stuck with only Hack, Slash, and Bob close to him, Gigabyte wasted no time in draining one of the sprites' energy. Which of the three did Gigabyte manage to drain of energy?

Answer: Hack

As Bob was telling Phong about the virus's successful isolation from Mainframe, Gigabyte managed to grab Hack and drain all of his energy. Bob then realized that the energy sources on the island were in fact, them. Slash, angered by the virus hurting his friend, punched Gigabyte right back into mainland Mainframe, killing Bob's plan to isolate the virus.
9. After draining enough sprite energy, did Gigabyte gain the ability to fly?

Answer: Yes

After Gigabyte drained Hack's energy, Slash punched him back to Mainframe. Thanks to the energy from Hack, Gigabyte had gained the ability to fly. Using his new power, the virus headed towards the Principal Office's energy shield. The virus could not completely drain the energy, thanks to Phong's wise move of lowering the shields. Gigabyte was distracted long enough for Bob and the energy delivery from Mouse and Dot to arrive.
10. Sealing off the Principal Office after Frisket's energy drain by Gigabyte, Bob waited for the energy drop that Mouse and Dot had picked up. As Dot and Mouse dropped the tear on top of Gigabyte, Bob ordered Glitch to split the tear. Bob was surprised with what the splitter split the virus into. What was it that surprised Bob?

Answer: He expected the virus to split into only Megabyte and Hexadecimal, but a third creature also split from the virus.

As Gigabyte sucked in the tremendous raw energy of the tear, Bob informed the virus that he was not the only one who could utilize a tear. Bob had Glitch split the contents of the tear apart. The tear turned into a portal which then split the virus into three parts. Those parts were Megabyte, Hexadecimal and the black creature from Hex's viewing window.

The bad news was that it was once again free to roam around Mainframe at will.
